Many people consider themselves to be Christians and do not know what that means. It does not have to do with a religion they say to me there, while on the other hand we must recognize that, it is impossible to separate the word "Christian" or "Christianity" from the concept of religion. Because a religion is a form of relationship with God and the Christ is the only religion that allows us the relationship with the only true God.
Others say that they "love" Jesus and therefore consider the term "Christian" to be their own. However, saying that Jesus is loved does not adequately satisfy what is required for someone to be considered "Christian." Many who say "love" Jesus or "Jesus" as they often say to feel in trust with him, do not know the scripture, do not know or respect what he said, what his apostles taught and therefore refer to another Jesus, not the son of God.
Considering that I know the sacred scripture, I present some valid definitions so that a person, organization or activity, can be considered "Christian" also clarifying some misconceptions and popular:
A Christian is a person who recognizes himself as a sinner, unable to earn God's forgiveness with his merits, but who has decided to recognize that Jesus' sacrifice covers his sins and receives the reward that God gives to the saints, not because he is a holy, but because he has been sanctified by the blood of Jesus and lives trying to do God's will, fully sure that he will be saved by the merit of Jesus Christ if he keeps on being guided by the Holy Spirit of God who is that force that helps him Take the right option when you are tempted.
A true Christian, as a person, is not necessarily better than others who are not Christians, it is more, in many cases can be a worse person, then, their apparent good behavior, is the result of the influence of the Holy Spirit of God in his life, and, although people do not consider him worthy of being a Christian, they can not deny that he is a different person and that, without being better than others, he will receive eternal life for believing Jesus Christ. Understanding that believing Jesus Christ implies recognizing oneself forgiven for all his sins and that he will be helped in the future not to sin as he did before and even to get up immediately if he makes a mistake because his salvation is as certain as true is the word of God: who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved, will not be tempted beyond what he can endure, and faithful is God to keep those who trust in him without falling.
A Christian does not deserve and never deserves the eternal life that God gives him, because the Christian is saved by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and all his good works are not really his own, because away from Jesus nothing can be done , so, every good testimony of a Christian is the result of his having let the Holy Spirit flow, that is, he has offered his body as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which has become his rational worship. Because a Christian must give thanks and glory to God for the good things that enable and motivate him to do through the Holy Spirit, that God will reward him for that attitude, the attitude of giving himself to good, in instead of being carried away by the evil influence of the enemy of the souls of men.
A Christian shares his faith, not to convince others, as often happens with people who are looking for followers, but because he is convinced of the benefit he has received for having believed in the Son of God and wishes with all his heart that other people receive that same benefit, because they know, in their own case, that people do not need a special attribute, intelligence, wealth, eloquence, honesty, or any other attribute or virtue, but only believe, believe in Jesus, the son of God. This is why it is very serious to share your faith, because if people do not listen to what they should believe, how will they believe if no one preaches to them, because they should listen to what they should believe in? It is the responsibility of every Christian to share what he believes, share it with his way of life and expose it as clearly as possible. In this way the Christian shows his love to his neighbor, sharing the most important thing.

A Christian is not trying to earn his salvation, a Christian really does not doubt in any way about whether he will be saved or not, because it has nothing to do with what he can do but is directly related to what Jesus Christ did on the cross of Calvary. For this reason, he who departs from the path of Jesus is not losing his salvation, he is simply demonstrating that he never had it. God wants all men to be saved, but not all take their offer, because their pride does not allow them to understand that something can be so easy or without any requirement rather than "believe in Jesus", and instead of believing they question what they do those who have already believed and are confused thinking that those who have believed can be saved by what they do after believing, therefore, they question that they do not really save themselves for believing but for what they "have to" do after believing . For this reason, they prefer not to believe to avoid doing what those who have already believed do or because they do not consider themselves capable of living as those who have already believed do, but do not know or understand that what happens after they have believed is not a human effort to achieve holiness before God, but it is the act of God in the life of the human being to make it accepted before their eyes, but that is the work of God, the believer gives himself so that God completes the redemptive work in his life, because he who starts the good work will not leave it unfinished.

A Christian recognizes biblical authority, not because he considers infallible those who have been involved in translations and updates (of vocabulary nothing else, not of concepts), but because he recognizes that there is "the intention of God" and by his condition of God, he has kept what he has to keep so that he receives the word of God that will be unequivocally interpreted by all those who allow themselves to be guided by the Spirit of God, because it will guide them to all truth. Believe in Jesus Christ and you will be a Christian, but remember that you can not believe what you do not know or do not understand, try to know, believe and understand the word of God, I assure you that you will not find contradictions if you are not pleading with God, because the principle of wisdom is the fear of Jehovah, do not try to understand but have believed, first is to believe and then understand all things. The order is this: Know, believe, understand, live as God wants, share what you believe, live with God. Being a Christian is within your reach, no one can forbid you more than yourself.
