THE GOD IN YOU

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Every believer sees God in different ways and I think there will not be a need for a drawing board to describe how He really looks like. If a question is asked of you which goes thus; Who is God to you? How would you define Him based in your divine interpersonal relationship? Of course, we all know practical illustration plays a vital role in explanation.

Being close to God is one thing, knowing Him is another. Your familiarity with God doesn't give you a complete understanding of Him but your curiosity does. God is a lifetime case study. If you don't have passionate interest, you'll get bored easily and quite learning. It can never be gainsaid that the more we know God, the farther we go,so when your learning stops halfway, then your journey with Him ends that way. Therefore as a believer, you're either greedy or needy for the knowledge of God.

Nevertheless, it's preferable to know a lot about Him and still want for more than to know little or nothing. That's why you need a divine encounter with God as it will help you to boost your spiritual archive with invaluable knowledge. Apart from what you've heard/read about God, your life is expected to speak volumes about Him, not just your tongue. I'm also a student in the school of thought which states;

Anyone without the right identity is an outright nonentity.

To be precise, your identity as a Christian depends on how well you know and show Christ, not how far you can play church. Let's open the candid chapter. If we all claim God means everything to us, why do we refuse to offer Him our whole world, especially when necessity demands it. Some of us majestically walk into the church when it is closing hours or in some cases where 'the grace' is about to be shared, but can't afford to be late for a funfair party, to lecture rooms, dates, movies, official appointments, and others. Even while in the presence of God, many will never later go of their mobile phones and other electronic gadgets for the fun of social networks.

Also, for some, that will be the best atmosphere for discussion of another topic entirely/gossips. Some are as peaceful as a dove in the church but outside they are as fierce as a dragon.

A lot of people still believe that sanctuary keeping is designated to a particular set of people and prefer to use the church environment as our trash can but keep our offices and homes spick and span. Some of us can afford to skip the church activities all in the name of fatigue, yet we promise to be forever punctual in God's presence. We claim we're God's own, but our lifestyle such as immodest dressing, worldly songs, x-rated movies, love of money, promiscuity, pride etc is extravagantly rented from the devil.

Above are the illustrations of those whose lives are supposed to explain God's definition by making Him their sole purpose of living. A poet once wrote;

I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day.

How will a Christian life interpret to the non-believers what God truly represents if such life is painted with few touches of dark colours instead of pure white. The apostles were first called Christians In Antioch, do you know why? They deflected from the world and reflected Christ. The word Christian is not as simple as it sounds because it is not a title but a mantle. It means you have pious image that you mustn't sabotage.

So, always deem it as the most privileged advantage to salvage your divine heritage. It's not until you preach to teach about God before people know your stand but if you are truly sold out to God, you'll definitely stand out in the world.

In summary, you've got to be so transparent like a crystal glass in your disposition that whenever people stare at you, all they'll see is God and He alone. 1 Timothy 4:12

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
