Colossians 3:1-4 (NIV)
" Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory."
Beloved, we were brought unto this Earth to serve God and after that we will be taken to Heaven. That is why Jesus Christ said He that going to prepare a place for us. If that is the case, we should rather place our heart in things above, our eternal home. We should not place our heart on this Earth and things found in it since the Bibles says that the Earth shall pass away, but his words shall not pass away.
What Salvation are we going to gain when we embed our lives in things on this Earth, which would be destroyed? Very soon our bodies will die and even leave those things behind. Our Salvations our always secured when we set our hearts in things above.
The things found on Earth are things lead us to sins, and at the end we lose our Salvation that Christ Jesus has prepared for us. The happiness that World gives us would not continue to exist, imagine if such happiness are destroyed, or when Jesus Christ descend to take his righteous people.
The things we use for ourselves cannot follow us to Heaven, then why do we worry ourselves to hauled material things to the extent that our heart follow those materials that we have kept for so many years.
We should be conscious of what we use our lives for, because we will never remain forever on this Earth, but whatever be the case we have accountability to be made for our Lord Jesus Christ, and that is what we have to think of.
One thing that we should do is put God first in our life, give ourselves to Jesus Christ and do what is right and pleases with God. Thank you friends for your time.
