Hi everyone! I want to share a personal experience about "Giving".
What is Giving?
- This is the disposing of property by voluntary transfer without receiving value in return.
- It is the impacting of news and promises etc.
Let's consider giving in terms of providing helps for humans. Giving is a fundamental law that is potent or valid whether "Spiritually" or "physically". Giving is an act or practice instituted by the Creator (God) for extending His magnanimity and benevolence to his subjects "We".
This act was vividly demonstrated by God when he gave "His Only Begotten Son" Jesus for the redemption of Mankind.
Giving is an act, born out of (birthed) and demonstrated in Love. Giving is an active process of seeing beyond your incoveniences to helping others to be successful, influential, rich, blessed, comfortable etc.
Given as a fundamental law, attracts a tremendous reward to the giver and the receiver the scriptures says in Acts 20:35
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
WHY SHOULD I GIVE?
- It is a commandment that must be uphold
- It is the will of God
- It shows to us the extent of God's love towards us
- It attracts blessings, favour and open doors etc.
WHO SHOULD I GIVE TO?
- To the needy
- To the poor
SHOULD I WAIT TO BE LED BY GOD TO GIVE?
The answer is an unequivocal "No". we necessary do not need to wait for the leading of The Holy Spirit before giving, because he has place his mind in us to do what is right.
NB: God on a specific assignment can direct, instruct and lead you to who you should give.
WHAT ARE WE EXPECTED TO GIVE?
- Money
- Materials such as clothings, shoes, bags wristwatches etc.
- Time
- Prayers and intercession
- Attention (love and care) etc.
