RE: DOES THE BIBLE CONDEMN GAMBLING (SIN OR NOT)

I had what they call Basura kids or the kids that pick through garbage come by my house begging for money. I asked one of the kids what they would do with the money if I gave them some. Their reply was they would give it to their mom. Ok! What will your mom do with it? The answer was she would gamble with it.
This is the problem! Gambling is addictive and there is a demonic influence behind the gambling addiction. A person become bound and a slave to this.
Almost universally gambling is run by the mob or organized crime. Along with the gambling comes excessive drinking, scantily dressed women, prostitution. I can’t see how a Christian can justify putting God’s money into what causes so many to suffer and stumble.

1Co 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

The fact that God’s money winds up to being used for acts of darkness!

Many fathers are coming home from work on payday. Instead of coming home and feeding the family, it is used for rolling dice, playing cards and the family is neglected.
I would also check my own heart if I am using the Bible to condone my own desire. In this case desire to gamble.
Good post!
