the Spirit dwells in our hearts forever, sealing us with the confirmation, certification and security of the promise of our eternal state as His children. Jesus said that He would send us to the Spirit to be our Helper, Comforter and Guide. "And I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, so that he may be with you forever" (John 14:16). The Greek word translated as its "Comforter" means someone who is called "next to" and has the idea of someone who encourages and exhorts. The phrase "that is" has to do with His permanent residence in the hearts of believers (Romans 8: 9, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20, 12:13). Jesus sent the Spirit as a "compensation" for His absence, to carry out the functions that He would have done in us if He had remained physically among us.
Among those functions is to reveal the truth. The presence of the Spirit within us allows us to understand and interpret the Word of God. Jesus told His disciples, "But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth ..." (John 16:13). He reveals to our minds all the counsel of God, as related to worship, doctrine and the Christian life. He is the fundamental guide, who goes before us, showing the way, removing obstacles, opening the understanding and making all things clear and evident. He leads us on the path we must walk in all spiritual things. Without such guidance, we would be liable to fall into error. A crucial part of the Truth He reveals is that Jesus is who He said He is (John 15:26, 1 Corinthians 12: 3). The Spirit convinces us of the deity and provenance of Christ, His incarnation, His identity as the Messiah, His sufferings and death, His resurrection and ascension, His exaltation at the right hand of God, and His function as Judge of all. He gives glory to Christ in all things (John 16:14)
Another of His functions is to grant gifts. 1 Corinthians 12 describes the spiritual gifts given to believers so that we can function as the body of Christ in the world. All these gifts, both great and small, are given by the Spirit so that we can be His ambassadors in the world, showing His grace and glorifying Him.
The Spirit also works as a producer of the fruit in our lives. When He dwells in us, He begins to work to reap His fruit in our lives - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance (Galatians 5: 22-23). These are not the works of our flesh, which is incapable of producing such fruit, but is the product of the presence of the Spirit in our lives.
Many times we see God as someone who loves us but is far from us or very busy, but once we get to know and intimate with the Sqanto Spirit we will understand how close the Father is, we can understand his power, his power, our own body and even prostrate before Him, because our humanity is not able to withstand so much power.
Expectional post.....nice write up, hope to see more of this on the steemchurch.

BEAUTIFUL
The holy spirit of God is his power, or force, in action (Micah 3: 8, Luke 1:35). When God sends his spirit, projects, or directs, his energy to a specific place - wherever it may be - so that his will be fulfilled (Psalm 104: 30, 139: 7).
