Philippians 4:19 says it very clearly: "My God, then, will supply all that you lack according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Like any good father, God will never give us what He knows could harm us. His intention is to help us develop an image like that of Christ Jesus, so that we become salt and light in the world (Matthew 5: 13-14). God does not want us to see Him only as a heavenly source of material possessions, acquiring things is not the fundamental goal of this life
God distinguishes between our needs and what we want, because He knows that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). He wants us to know that this world is not our home and that part of what we need is to change our approach to eternal life, while we still live in this life.
God cares for every part of our being: spirit, soul and body. Just as the facets of his character are infinite, so the forms that God provides us go beyond what we can ask or understand (Ephesians 3:20). We can trust in his goodness, in his direction and pastoral care to do more for us, than we could ever achieve on our own. God provides a way for us to develop an intimate, family and obedient relationship with Him, so that together with others, we can enter the quality of life of "Psalm 23". Those whose pastor is the Lord, can say, "nothing is missing"
In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus teaches his disciples to ask for the provision, and our dependence on God is affirmed each time we pray: "Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11). In Matthew 6: 24-25, Jesus tells his disciples not to worry about food or clothing. The Father knows our needs. He wants a covenant relationship with us, and that includes trusting Him to meet our daily needs and seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
Dizziness 6: 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
When I got pregnant with my daughter, we were not going through the best economic time, the income was only enough to eat and to pay for certain medical exams I needed because of the pregnancy but it was not enough to buy anything for my baby, worried I was going to God first and Pastor who reminded me of all these promises made by God.
At this time God was taking me to a higher level of intimacy, I was appropriating the word FATHER, and like a father, I said that I did not have milk, or dresses and I remember telling him that I did not have to buy shoes, and then I just rested in Him, for me it was a process, since evidently my faith was not as fortified as I thought.
At 8 months (almost 9 months) I made the baby shower and God sent me everything I needed to have a baby, clothes, creams, diapers, combs, until we filled two drawers only for shoes for the baby!
Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the sky, which do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than them?
Psalm 81:10
I, the LORD, am your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide and fill it.
God sees our hearts, we just have to trust, He is our father, our provider, we just have to give up and be attentive to activate our Faith
AMEN!
