God loves us, but there is much more to admire. The scriptures speak of how God achieves his glory. God yes we
he loves, but nevertheless that is not what he uses to obtain his glory.
He uses salvation for his glory, the court for his glory and even the bible says that he created bad people for the days of difficulty where he will show his glory.
Proverbs 16: 4 The Lord has done everything for himself; Even the wicked is made for the fatal day!
Jesus always said: "For the Glory of God." His whole purpose was for it.
Yes, people were cured. Yes, many lives changed. However, that does not change the fact that Jesus was here for the glory of God. The main purpose of salvation is God and his glory. Let us not be deceived, God shows his glory in both the good and the evil that occurs. Salvation is another way in which glory is shown.
Please understand that I am not trying to dismiss salvation. I am simply saying that salvation is part of what God uses for his glory. The greatness of God goes beyond that, in a few words, I mean we have to see God for what he is and develop a healthy fear together with a respect for him.
So, what is the glory of God?
He had never asked himself such a difficult question. This is something that no man on this side of heaven will have the entire ability to respond to. However, we can answer a large part of the question.
Then Moses said, "I beg you to show me your glory." And God replied, "I will make all my goodness pass before your face." Exodus 33:18. God did not mean that his good was all his glory. He meant that he will show his good as part of his glory. Moses had no idea how great his request was before such an immense God.
Then what is the glory of God?
- His presence in everything.
- His reason in everything.
- His holiness in everything.
- His kindness in everything.
- Your majesty in everything.
- His love to everything.
- Its truth in everything.
The list of his glory continues infinitely, but the most important thing is his sovereignty in all the universes and their dimensions. This is the reason why God does not conform to our moral code and thought. His glory goes more
there the earth.
Desires and needs have different meanings for all of us. I vote that if you are a pastor, you will not need buildings. You need only one passion for the glory of God. You do not need programs, you only need passion for the glory of God.
Jesus did not have buildings and even so he turned to the world with his passion for the glory of God. The tools of the ministry can be a blessing from God as much as they can be a curse if we do not seek his glory. (A curse is anything that keeps us from seeing and following the true glory of God). Glory does not go forward because of man's creations. This glory goes on because God decides so.
