Blessings beloved this topic has seemed very opportune in this time in which the Steem church is growing this revolution because that is how the life of the Christian should be.
Acts 20:32 -> And now I give them to the care of God and the word of his grace. Because he can help them to progress spiritually and can give them the blessings that he keeps for all his people.
In this part of the Word, Paul addresses the priests of the Ephesian church. And in this same part, the Holy Spirit directs, today, a message for me and for you.
Paul affirms that God could help the Ephesians to progress spiritually. And you, do you think God can help you in this too? God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, is in Hebrews 13: 8. He is immutable. If He could help the people of Ephesus a long time ago, today He can help you!
There is a great blessing in progressing spiritually. The life of the Christian can not go back. The Christian who is a Christian is not far behind. If your true destiny is Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven, going forward is your duty.
Jesus knew that he should sacrifice himself for us here on Earth, and he did not stand still, much less recoil, no matter how much his final hour here was getting closer and closer.
So, now we're going to stay crying and muttering? Will we be stopped because something is closing our way? Of course not! Paul said that God would help us to progress, that is to advance; go forward, spiritually. In Romans 8:31 it says, "What shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who will be against us?" To get it? If God is your help, who can bother you? If God is your health, what disease can kill you? If God is the solution to your problems, what problem can afflict you? God is with you, and there is nothing else that can defeat you! Because if you have Jesus, you are victorious, because in Him we are more than conquerors (Rm 8:37).
The Christian can not sleep in the spiritual life. As much as the other areas (Example: financial, emotional, etc.) of our lives are important, the spiritual area is much more. Our spirit is eternal. If our spiritual life is retreating, we must open our hearts and converse with God. As much as we are saved by the Grace of God when we accept Jesus, sin can still take us to an eternity in hell.
Life with God is daily growth. We can not stop. It must always move forward. Either move forward with God, or step back with the devil. There is no middle term, nor third decision. Either it is one, or it is another.
We do not always advance because, of course, we are not perfect. There is no perfect Christian. But, if we get used to going back, there will be a time when moving forward will be too difficult. That's why many stop on the road.
Life with God is a long walk, which only God can say when it will end. It is a walk of faith towards eternity in the Heavens. From faith in faith we will go, progressing with the Lord. Do not back down, do not cling to the past or sin, for they not only make you walk backward, as they do also sink into a hole, which is called "separation from God", which ends in a lake of fire, where there is crying and gnashing of teeth for all eternity.
You have to move forward with prayer, hearing God through the Word, and also in a church where you really preach the Word of God. And of course, with faith too, because what moves the children of God is faith. It is as if it were the "fuel", and we are the "car". You understand?
God wants his children to be prosperous in all areas of life. In this time we glimpse with faith the blessing of the beatitudes. Thanks for sharing.
