A Decision To Seek, Do And Teach God's Commandments

in #steemchurch7 years ago

Hello Brothers And Sisters Of The Steemchurch, it's been a while.
Today, we want to learn from the example of that faithful scribe, Ezra.

Ezra was one of the Israelites taken into captivity in Babylon. There he and some of his fellow Jews met with the favour of God.
They were granted release and support by the king to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple.
Ezra In particular brought reforms and spiritual revival among his people.

This he was able to do through his decision to seek the law of the Lord, do / obey it and teach it among his people. That was his focus in leaving Babylon and journeying for five months to Jerusalem.

The order is particularly observable and commendable; first he endeavours to understand God's law and word, and that not for curiosity or ostentation, but in order to practice. Next he consciously practises what he did understand which made his doctrine much more effectual: and then he earnestly desires and labours to instruct others, that they also might know and do it.

The Bible today contains the laws of the Lord for mankind. The challenge before us as Christians is to be willing to seek these laws / God's will for us. After seeking, to do and obey those laws, which will in turn give us the courage to teach others, who will in turn seek, do and teach as well; and so the cycle will continue.

This is the perfect course of man's life. Beloved, as you seek God's will daily in His word, take a decision to do it and teach others. Ensure the “seek do teach" cycle continues, go an extra mile for it; work overtime for it, to ensure that the kingdom of God continue to expand from shore to shore.

Thanks for sharing with SteemChurch. We learn from Ezra to maintain our faith even in difficult times. We should serve God in both favourable and unfavourable seasons.
