Hello
The authentic and active church is a great tool in the hands of God in building his kingdom.
His kingdom is bigger than the Church, whether local or universal church. He is not building a denomination, he has no favorite denomination, he is not building any local church vision even though he may aid them to achieve their vision if it advances his agenda. He is not solely focused in multiplying the membership of a certain church, he is focused on filling the heavens. He wants to snatch people from hell and from the devil. Not to make one church bigger than the other one around the corner.
God would like to see all people or the whole world saved and heading to heaven.
He also promised to build his church and he can, there's no doubt about that. However, he always seeks to involve or use people to achieve his goals here on earth. Someone said, God's method is man. Each saved individual is an important vessel to be used by God to advance his business.
But there's a problem somewhere. It appears that, individual Christians, churches and church leader to have lost the vision of the master (Christ). We are busy and focused building individual kingdoms, local churches kingdoms and ministries kingdoms than God's kingdom.

If we are real seriously building His Kingdom, then we must do it, His way. We must know His plan and His method. God wants all, and when he says all, he means all people saved. Second he wants to use every individual Christian, at various levels and in so many ways to accomplish this immense work, to get all saved.
So out of that come three most neglected responsibilities by both Christians and church leaders. The first responsibility is to go and preach and teach the unbelievers. We preach first to them then when they come to Christ we need to teach them the whole truth of God's word. But what do we do? We call them come, instead of going to them, or reaching them, we want them to reach to us. We focus only to those who are in our vicinity, we do not try to reach to every corner of the world.
Yet there has never been a generation with so many called "apostles and prophets" like our generation. But what do they do most of the time? I cannot answer that, because we all now what they do. Christ left only eleven apostle who where even not prophets, just apostle when he ascended, but the work which was done by these few people is tremendous, taking into account the limited advantages they had compared to our time. We have better infrastructures and better accessibility to many areas than them. In short we have been given more.
Second, today people are not taught. Yet teaching and learn are life long process in every human, it is not different with a christian faith. Christianity is a taught religion. Christ demand Christians to be learning people as well as teaching people. But what do people hear when they come to church? Their decreed, prophesied, laid hands, entertained and given inspiration speaking instead of teaching them. With this what kind of Christian are going to produce, obviously flabby, lazy, ignorant, immature people and unfit people. Without Christ being formed in them. Their more carnal than spiritual. The future of the church cannot be entrust to them.

Third, today people are not trained, equipped, mentored, unleashed and supported to do the work of ministry as God intended. This trend has destroyed many gifted and passionate young men and women. It has destroyed the unit of the church, it has hindered the effectiveness of the church and it has tarnished the reputation of the church in the society. Worst it breaks God's heart so bad.
I know some of the pastor have been terribly hurt, by the betrayal and the unfaithfulness of their protégés. And they do not want to find themselves in a similar situation again, thus they have resolved not to take anybody again under their wings. Though their pain is undeniable, and though it's true that protégé can cause you a lot of disappointment. But the decision to completely do away with mentorship is unacceptable in any way, because we do that for God not them.
I also acknowledge that some young people or Christians have been big headed, they do not want to be under anybody to mentor them.
Nevertheless not much has been done to those who are willing to be mentored. Because some ministers are too scared to have somebody who is influential in the church apart from them, they struggle with insecurities. They make sure there would be no other anointed and able minister in the church apart from them. They prefer to work with the weak, incapable and yes people, than the strong, capable and anointed.
Some pastor give up so early, on their protégé. Their impatient, they forget how much God as been patient with them. Can you imaging how much Christ needed to be patient with his disciplines, and specifically Peter? With all that Peter did, Christ kept his faith in him and he gave him to lead others. Church leaders let's learn from Christ.

Conclusion;
When we fail to do these above things and so many other things that we should, as Christians, churches and church leaders we neglect and sabotage the future church, future ministers and church leaders.
Because the future church, is not in the Church right now, the future of the church is among sinners, whom we should be reaching right now.
The future praise and worship leaders, elders, bishops, pastor, apostles, evangelists and many other ministers are in the bar right now, some are prostituting, some are womanizers, their lost deeply lost in sin as you read this post. If you do not reach them the church diminishes and heaven loses them, and is never happy with that.

Some great church Leaders of the future are already in the church, they do not look much but God always chooses the weak and the forgotten, to do exploits in this world. I call out all church leaders that God has entrusted with souls, please to a good job with them, do not take them for granted. You will ultimately be answerable to God for how you treated them. Remember God needs them in his service.
Remember also not all ministry happen in the church and not all ministry happen in a pulpit, there so much to do in the world for the Master help them see that and equip them to do that.
Thanking you for your time

The church in America is the church at Laodicea for the most part. It might be that way all over the world. Professing Christians today don't know the Bible. Most don't read the Bible. Many don't in believe in things like absolute truth, sin, Satan, hell, or having biblical views of sexuality. The church will be considerably worse in 20 years if Jesus hasn't returned by then.
Not only do we have to teach the unbelievers, we need new Christians that are hungry to learn, who want to grow, and aren't satisfied with just fire insurance.
Thank you barncat for taking time to read and comment on this post. We real need to step up in teaching new Christians the whole truth of God's word more earnestly.
Blessings.
