I have been or we have been hearing so much talks about change or changing our mindsets. And how much our minds impact the destiny of our lives.
But outside the church circle I have never heard about how much does our "heartset" determine the destiny of our lives. To make things worse even in the church now, people are being preached about changing their minds, more than about how to let God change their hearts.
But their so many scriptures that talks about how much does God want to change peoples hearts. Scriptures after scriptures talks about the heart of human problems is the heart.
When God spoke about the New Covenant He will make with his people, he said, I will remove a heart of stone from them and I will give them a heart of flesh and on that heart I will write my laws.

The bible says in proverbs 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
The bible also says, Jeremiah 17:9
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
Mathew 15:18-20
But things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man unclean. For out of the heart cone evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what makes man unclean; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him unclean.
The conclusion is this, man's heart needs attention. Because it affects man's daily life and thus it affects man's destiny. The problem is, we live in days when all of our attention is turned into developing only our minds. As the only thing influencing our destiny, we forget that our hearts are also very powerful into shaping our destiny.
We need a change of hearts, if we need to see our lives changed, our world bettered and humanity saved.
A well developed mindset, without a wholesome heart is a disaster to humanity. As we work hard to develop, train and change people's mindsets we should begin first with their hearts.
It is easy to deal with the problem of uneducated mind than the problems of evil hearts. Most of our big problems in the world today spring from the conditions of men's hearts and not a mindset issue (Mathew 15:18-20).
As we work on our mindsets let's also work on setting right our hearts.
