The Amazing Power Of Spoken Words!

in #steemchurch6 years ago

In only 6 days, God spoke the world and mankind into reality. With our words we can talk things into reality.
There is control in our words. Words are innovative either for good or malice. Words either tie or they free. Words can be damaging or productive; they can develop or they can tear down. With them we can abhor or adore, heal or cause sickness

James 3:6
“And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the
entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life"

Words of iniquities talked over us before and after our birth to the world influence the course of our entire lives. Indeed, according to the Word of God these negative words can change the hormone structure and even transform the physical body of a kid. Words talked over a youngster by authority figures are particularly effective. The child gets the words in his heart and he progresses toward becoming who and what he supposes he is. This can work in the positive and additionally in the negative.
There is life and passing in what we say. We either bring reviling or we bring favoring upon our selves and others by what we say. With our words we can commend out of the pit or burrow our pit further by the words we talk.

we are advised to hold quick to our thoughts, this way to be sure and have control over our words. generally, our words will administer us. Satan additionally watches over his oath to perform it; that is any word that repudiates God's assertion. It is essential for us to realize what God is stating in His Words;

Proverbs 21:23
“He who guards his mouth and his tongue, guards his soul from troubles.”

Proverbs 18:20
“With the fruit of a man's mouth his stomach will be satisfied; he will be satisfied with the product of his lips.”

Proverbs 13:3
“The one who guards his mouth preserves his life; the one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.”

What you say will in the long run come around to you. When we talk expressions of wrongdoing we open up our selves as well as other people to
curses.

The words Jacob spoke over his wife sowed the seeds for her passing,when Laban came to accuse him of stealing his belongings, not knowing it was Rachel, he said, “Whoever has stolen your goods, let him not live.” and
Rachel died giving birth to Benjamin.
That is the kind of power the Bible says is in the words we speak and that's we must learn to control it.
You will never have the capacity to acknowledge great change until you repent of negative words.

The tongue possesses unspeakable
power.

Proverbs 18:21 tells us that;
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

The mouth is the open door to the soul,it could be a blessing or a curse.

Psalm 21:23
"Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity."

Jesus said in Matthew 15:18
"Those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.”

Peter, quoting Psalm 34:12-13,
“He who would love life and see
good days, Let him restrain his tongue
from evil, And his lips from speaking
deceit.”

A disdainful heart won't speak supportive and healing words.
However God can! It is my expectation and supplication for me, and for each individual who calls Jesus Lord, that God will so fill our heart and accordingly control our tongue,

Proverbs 16:24
"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones"

  • An indiscreet word may cause strife and anger
  • A cruel word may wreck a life;
  • A bitter word may destroy and smite,
  • A brutal word will achieve nothing; but
  • A benevolent word may smooth the way.
  • A joyful word may light up a day;
  • A caring word may decrease pressure.
  • A loving word may recuperate and favor.

It was said of Jesus in John 7:46,
"No man ever spoke like this Man.”

As we live in the power of His grace, may it be that others will say the same of us.
May our words be a blessing unto others!!
Also let us pray that the lord help us to control the words from our mouth;

Psalm 141:3
Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips

Only the spiritually inclined and those matured in christ can control their tongue. It is an unmistakable evidence of God’s work of grace in their life.
