The nature of the world today is totally of wickedness, everyday we hear of abominable evils happening in the world today. The sole reason people are falling victim of these happenings is because of their mudane perspective of things, which go far way than physical.
If I must let you know that the sole perpetrator behind all these wicked and bastardy acts is the devil, the prince of this world.
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Revelation 12:12
As children we should not fear but have this knowledge that we are predestined to overcome the world.
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! Numbers 23:23
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

SATAN - THE ENEMY
One fact about Satan is in that he is not omnipresent, which means simply that he is not everywhere it is only the Almighty God who is omnipresent, satan is just a mere trickster with many vain devices and also with the help of his minions, the fallen angels he could feign being anywhere.
For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. Ephesians 6:12
Some persons has this belief that their enemy is from either from their household or place of work, however appears the case according to God's word satan is our only scripturally acknowledged enemy.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour 1peter 5:8
Studying that scripture in particular will confirm that Satan is not everywhere it he is, he shouldn't have to move from place to place just like a wanderer and also the connonation that he is the enemy of the believers is aforementioned in the above scripture.

One thing is knowing the enemy and another
is being aware of his devices and putting him where he belongs, being aware of God's indwelling power in you.
The devil wants to trick the children of God by simply creating a diversion that he is not the enemy knowing fully well that the moment you do, you are termed as an overcomer.
Some people have already been beaten to the fact by satan that God is their enemy, that's wrong or harbor a particular belief that God is responsible for their situation that is not too okay. This scripture below will change that misbelief in Jesus name.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11
This simply brings us to the point that God is always programming something good for you
He has your best interest at heart to give you a delightful and glorious future.
From now henceforth have this in mind that Satan is the enemy who is always accusing you before God, he doesn't want your progress neither does he want anything good coming your direction. Just as God is light so Satan is the direct opposite, total darkness ' no light thereof is found in him'.
Satan is the darkness that covered the earth
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. Isaiah 60:2
WHY DID GOD CREATE SATAN?
Many persons in the world today might have been thinking and even saying out aloud that why will God create such an adversary to trouble mankind.
The plain truth is that at the beginning it was not so. Satan was created perfect in tremendous beauty, as a matter of fact he was the highest among all angels God created to worship Him. This is how the scriptures define him.
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until iniquity and guilt were found in you.
Ezekiel 28:12-15
Satan became who he was when iniquity was found in him, he was forcefully ejected out of heaven according to the book of revelation. Ever since Satan has been determined to fight God and His people. The devil is traditionally anti-God, every evil in the world is totally his planned work.
SATAN'S 3 FOLD MISSION
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10
The above scripture is clearly referring to Satan as 'the thief', your enemy whose mission majorly is to steal, kill and destroy.
Satan does not necessarily need to come physically to do those but he has his ways of perpetuating evils in the world to short-live your joy either in your family, finance, health and property. His sole aim is to destroy you, he is desperate.
To keep Satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles and intentions. 2 corithians 2:11

Yeah, Satan is the enemy.
But, he cannot read our minds. He tries to understand us with our actions and deeds. When we try our best to please God, we drive satan away.
The world and it things goes contrary to the teachings of the Lord. We as Christians should not fall pray to their tricks.
