LOOK UNTO HIM
Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, the universal experience of man is that life is not always a bed of roses. Sometimes the weather is fair, at other times, the wind rises and the storm rages. People are daily confronted with different shades of negative circumstances which come in form of job loss, sickness, bereavement, one delay or other satanic attacks.
Most times, the response of many is to focus on their problem or seek help where there is none until they are completely submerged in the problem. However, the Christian attitude and comportment during such times should be different from the way of the world. How you respond to such unpalatable circumstances will determine whether you will emerge victorious or otherwise.
When the storms of life blow your way and threaten your peace, you should not give in to discouragement, despondency or despair. Rather you should cast all your burdens and challenges on God because he cares for you.
God still have control over the affairs of men and He is able to succor, uphold and make you victorious over every situation. Where you focus your attention during challenges goes a long way in determining the outcome. In Mathew 14, Peter walked on water in obedience to Christ’s instruction that he should come to Him.
While he kept his gaze on Christ and rested on the power of His word, he walked on the water. The moment he took his eyes away from Jesus and focused on the the boisterous wind, he became afraid and began to sink till he cried to Jesus for help. Whatever is it that you are going through, do not focus on the challenge; turn your eyes on Jesus.
Do not worry about how big your problem seems but meditate on how mighty your God is. Do not worry about the storm; just cast your eyes on Jesus and all your problems. The lord has promised you that ”When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Are you weary, troubled or sorrowful? Cheer up! Look unto jesus and be fully persuaded that He will do what he promised. God bless you
