Our names are a very significant features of our very lives. They don't only distinguish us from others in terms of identification, but sometimes, our names talks about our very personalities.
Our names, if chosen carefully can reveal what we are or become in future. They can also tell what and why we go through certain challenges in life.
In the bible, people with good names are the ones who had positive impact in their towns, nations and families whiles the ones with bad names generally influenced their societies and the world negatively.
This means that there are two types of names given to people when they are born, good names and positive names.
Our God that we serve knows this, so He is very mindful of the names that He gives to His children.
Most of the time, God gives names to His children depending on what He wants that particular child to come and do for Him on earth.
A typical example is the name He instructed to Zachariah, John the Baptist's father.
As Christians, God has given a person whose name alone is capable of healing, breaking strongholds and causing miracles on earth. Yes! just a name.
God specifically chose this name for a purpose.
Joel 2:32
"But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved".
How can this be possible?
But it is very possible because this name is not just an ordinary name, it is actually God's name.
A name that can save people from their sins, sicknesses, destruction, hell, must be a name that is elevated above every name.
Philippians 2:9-11
"Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honour and gave him the name above all other names,
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father".
The last verse of the above scriptures confirms the very fact that Jesus is the Lord that Joel spoke of in our first verse.
This is the truth that other religions do not have but we Christians have.
Just mention the name JESUS and you will be saved because in this name has the the power to save you.
The name of our Lord Jesus Christ can save you from disgrace, shame, trouble, pains, sorrows, death, sickness, destruction, prison, debt, broken marriage, business collapse, suicide etc.
All you have to do is to call on the name.
Satan and his cohorts trembles when they hear this name of our Lord. Principalities, witches, forces of darkness and mighty powers in this dark world all surrender to this name.
Jesus Christ came to this world, died, rose from the dead and ascended back to heaven where He came from but His elevated name is still doing signs and wonders here on earth.
Jesus Christ is still in the salvation business and so just call on his name and you be healed.

The name of Jesus is higher than every other name. Demons tremble at the mention of this name and there are manifestation of signs and wonders at the mention of the name. Glory be to the name of our Lord JESUS!
