We started this interesting topic some days ago, Christain Leadership, we said leadership is the process of influencing and developing a group of people in other to accomplish purpose over time. We also looked how Jesus exercised perfect leadership, as the best person that we can look to as a mentor in leadership is Christ Jesus. We all are Called to Learn and Grow in Christ before we can Lead Others, so Christ laid a perfect example of good leadership.

Christian leadership can also be defined as the art of being a good steward of the people who God has entrusted to us. This simple means that good leadership starts with servanthood, you have to bring yourself down first as stewards to those to be led before you can lead them effectively.
When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.
Proverbs 28:28 When the wicked rise [to power], men hide themselves; but when they perish, the [consistently] righteous increase and become many.
So it is very necessary for us as Christians to assume our rightful positions as leaders.
ATTRIBUTES OF A GOOD CHRISTIAN LEADER
- Demonstrating Courage and Perseverance
i.) Courage: Leadership requires courage as you are leading your people to a new place. This involves taking risks and falling at times, attempting what seems impossible to others and taking a stand when things get difficult.
Joshua 1:6 Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
ii.) Perseverance: It is a big temptation to give up or run away. Some people are like wandering starts, an unstable man. They start well and shine like bright lights, but when the going gets tough, they move to a new place.
James 1:8 [For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].
- Being Accountable
Source
Accountability is to be regularly answerable for each key area of our lives. The devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour and in particular he is looking for a christian leader to devour.
1Peter 5:8. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [[f]in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
Christian leaders are accountable to God but also should make themselves accountable to other Godly leaders. Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend [to show rage or worthy purpose].
CAN LEADERSHIP BE LEARNT
Leadership is a skill just line management skills or even cooking skills. It is first mastered internally which indicates that discipline and self mastery should be something to work towards (being the leader of oneself) before transferring it to the outside world (2Timothy 1:17).
There is a place for proper preparation and retreat. Some people have the gift of leadership; you can see it in them even when they are young. But God's gifts have to be cultivated. Every exceptional leader is still a learner and is still subjected to learning under God's guide. Many of us may not have the spirit of leadership but God has put in us the potential of leadership.
All of us have the ability to live "in Christ" and Jesus was a leader while on earth. We can develop leadership skills through prayers, studying Gid's word, desiring Him, training, being mentored and learning from our mistakes.
Phillipians 3:10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [[b]which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]
Likewise, many people who have the gifts of leadership can acquire managerial skills as these can be learnt too. Such skills will contribute to you being a more effective leader.
In conclusion; The calling of a christian is also a calling into Leadership. In our generation the leadership lifestyle of Jesus Christ, which also talks about his service, is going into extinction because this part has been neglected over time. For this reason we have to tap into the leadership nature of God which is already inherent in us because we are his heir and joint heir with Christ.
Romans 8:17 And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.
Remainblessed
Brokenbytheword.
Asides being courageous and persevering a leader should also be competent, competent in the sense that his decisions should be rigid and trusting, he should be able to make concrete decisions in pressing time,a leader must also be calm, in times of trouble when everyone seem to be in panic a leader should be strong enough not to show fear.
Today we face one or two challenges in our economy because Christians have failed to take their rightful postilions of being leaders to pilot the affairs of the economy aright. Proverbs(28:28).
Good to hear from you VIKEBUN, Thanks for sharing with Us!
