Nice one @prettyglo,
This is a very touching issue of concern to Christianity. I have gone through your post word to word and I would like to deduce the following facts:
Firstly, I may be wrong though, but from the days of David in the Scripture till date, I am yet to see a man like David(a praiser) whom God himself confessed that he is a man after his own heart. I have come to learn from my mentor who keeps emphasizing each time I visit him, that Praises move God, while prayers move mountains, "so always try to be a praiser cause when you praise, you pray twice", he would add.
Secondly, I have understood from the life of David that he didn't at any point allow situations to hinder him from praising his maker. He praised God even when he was a king who should have been praise by his subjects. He didn't have time for such but rather spent his time to praising God. This is evident in the Book of Psalms, he has written too many psalms (praise songs) compared to any other character in the Bible.
Thirdly, King David was humble to the core, he danced almost like a mad man that even his wife despised him. We all know the story. Relating it to today's Christians, many are too big to express or join in the praise in church, they form holy-holy, @prettyglo I'm sure you understand what I mean. Others on the other hand would seat for about 10 mins after the praise leader had raised the song. They are waiting/listening find faults in terms of the pitch, voice and timing. Such an awkward motive.
PRAYER
My prayer for the members of @steemchurch, @sc-n and @christian-trail is that we would at no point would be found wanting to be too big praise God with our whole heart and being because we were just created for this-to praise Him.
God bless you and do have a happy weekend.
Thanks so much for this insight.
At least I have learnt something just now that when you praise you pray twice.
I pray nothing will cause us to cease praising God.
