Matthew 5:40-42
40KJV:And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41KJV:And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42KJV:Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
God's nature is to give exceedingly, abundantly and in excess of what we could ever ask or think.
His style is to supply all our needs according yo His riches in glory.
If we so claim to be christ-like, we must portray His same attributes.
Rebecca went beyond the request of Abraham's servant, to give him water, by offering to draw water for his camels also (Genesis 24:17-20). Abraham himself offered the best part of the land to his cousin, Lot (Genesis 13:5-12)
You have to move beyond the ordinary, having the consciousness of doing everything to the glory of God.
Jesus wants your attitude to go the extra mile. Put in that extra effort and the extra distance. "And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain (Matthew 5:41). God has made man with the ability to love and receive love. So make that sacrifice today by going an extra mile for another person.
If you have given, do more than previously before. Learn to stretch yourself beyond limits. Go that extra mile too to advance the kingdom with your investments.
Do so and remain blessed! Amen!
Shalom
