"Who is your neighbour"One of the most controversial questions in the Bible and as it caused endless misconceptions during the time of Jesus. The Jews regarded the Samaritans as enemies of Israel and even among the Israelites, there were confused on who actually is their neighbour. The Pharisees and priests do not know who they should call their neighbors. The Israelites and Samaritans are different based on their religion.
So who actually is our neighbour?
When Jesus preached about the parable of the good Samaritan, He answered the question. He showed that our neighbours are not necessarily our next door acquaintance or anyone that belongs to the same faith or association with us. Been neighbours has nothing to do with race, tribes or religion
Our neighbors are simply anyone that needs our help or assistance
James 2:8
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.
The parable of the good Samaritan was as a result of the question directed to Jesus about how to get eternal life. The question was meant to provoke Jesus.
Jesus Christ always knew that it will quite difficult to obey to God's law and to obey it is by God's grace and accepting his virtue. From the parable of good Samaritan, it relates to how we humans relate to each nowadays.
One major problem is that some people have a feeling that they are lowering their dignity by helping people while some people act indifferent and nonchalantly towards someone in help.
As Christians, we tend to misunderstand the meaning of love towards God and love to our neighbours, thinking they are two different things but in real sense, they are the same because we cannot claim wè love God and not love our neighbours. Love is the basis of Godliness
Thanks for sharing the gospel with SteemChurch. We view all our parishioners as neighbours. Anyone who has a form of relationship with us can be viewed as a neighbour. Even those we come in contact with or live around us too.

if we are to be good neighbors, we need to be more like the Samaritan. The implied message is to get strong financially and stay strong financially so we can have the means to act on our good intentions. Jesus concludes with this admonition, “Go and do likewise.” When we learn this lesson, we, and the world around us, will be better for it.
The parable of the good Samaritan is one every Christian should learn from because we are one family by creation and also one by redemption. We do not need to discriminate among ourselves. Thanks for sharing.
There is no way we can do good to our neighbours when we don't practice love. The love of God is in our heart.. Romans 5:5 but it will not work automatically until we put it into practice. Nice message @zotopower
You neigbour is that person who is around you at a particular point in time that you will be to help and he will also help you in time of need .
You neighbour is not just your room mate or housemate but he or she who you can help in the time of trouble
Anyone who needs your help is a neighbor
The key to understanding this parable is Jesus question, "Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?”
Wow nice post,I just learnt our neighbors are the ones who needs our help or assistance.
I like this part.

Thanks for this insight
Love your neighbor as yourself has no caveats, no qualifiers, no exceptions.
