RE: Steemcleaners Report for 22 September, 2019

in #steemcleaners5 years ago

Every paid out reward devalues your stake.

This is like saying that every cup of water someone else drinks devalues the water you drink.

Every payout reduces the pool, (just like when you run the shower, it "decreases" the municipal water supply) but it does not reduce the value of the pool.

If people want water (steem), it increases the value of water (steem).

The more people want steem, the greater its value becomes.

If they are going towards plagiarism, I can't imagine the value going up soon.

This is just one of many examples people thought a legitimate group is on Steem, but turned out they weren't.

Do you think the group was happy to be on Steem then? Fuck no. Steem is just some shady den of thieves to the outside world.

That's a perfect example. The OWNERS filed a COMPLAINT.

If they have a legal claim, they should pursue a legal settlement.

Youtube is also riddled with copyright infringement, but they don't do anything about it unless a legitimate copyright holder files a complaint.

If you want to enforce "attribution", then the cheetahbot already does that in a polite manner.

That's pointless. Whaleshares did exactly that, even got rid of flags, guess where their token went? Worth almost nothing. People stop creating when they realize posts are just placeholders for votes; hence "account preservation posts".

If I post on Whaleshares, does that keep people from downvoting me?

Wait, this? https://steemit.com/whaleshares/@jphenderson/what-is-whaleshares THIS FAILED BECAUSE IT'S TOO COMPLICATED.

If you think many of us here have not been observing how different forks of Steem played out, you are sadly mistaken.

That's great! At what point do you think steemit will be competitive with youtube or facebook or reddit? Shouldn't we just copy their general features +steem payouts?

Sort:

It's rarely a good idea to involve satan in your business.
Cops are satan.
The state is satan.
If you haven't become aware of this on your own, it's coming.

Better that the platform manage this in house, imo.
If we can't stop the scammers from dumping, we are doomed.
Steemcleaners is essential for steem's survival, atp.
You gonna do what they do in their absence?
I know I won't be.

Why not just use the MUTE/BLOCK feature?

How does that stop a scammer from dumping?

http://steemit.serviceuptime.net/mute.php

Here, you might like to have that.

If you think something is a scam, post a reply saying something like, "this is a scam".

If you don't like what you see on the All Trending page, MUTE them.

Nobody can tell people what to do with their own steem-money.

If someone wants to dump it, then that's the price of the free-market.

What moral theory are you defending?

.

Steem is a commons.
That stake that you are killing Batman with, is your's, but the inflation is our's.
If you are gonna drive the price down by posting low effort posts, abusively voting it, and dumping the steem you get, then my downvote defends the value of my stake.
If you are dumping the rewards you are getting, you are the sell pressure that is costing me, and likely you, a lambo.
Capisce?

Let me define abusive voting.
Any vote you get that is not given by someone that likes you, and/or your content, is abusive.

The rules of the game are set by the players.
We can call it a culture.
As we set the culture, abusive voting will be increasingly marginalized, imo.
If we want the game to persist.

If you divide that by 1,200,000 accounts it means that a "brutal" #rewardpoolrapist like myself has cost the pool about .0009584592 Steem per account. I am unable to transfer .00096 Steem but I guess I could transfer you .001 Steem if you would like reparations particularly to those of you who have downvoted me. If you do the math .001 Steem is worth about .00014 pennies worth of "damage". I might able to mail a few of you #poolnazis a whole penny if you want.

Well, there are <20k active authors here.
If we add in curators, as if they were equal in the creative process, then <60k, I think that takes a few decimals off your math.

Though, it is not central to the facts.
If folks sell, the supply on the market increases, and prices go down.
Some people really need the money.
Witnesses need to pay for servers.
Venezuelans are hungry.
If, at some point, these things don't balance out with the price at 5usd, or so, then the price will never be 5usd, again.
Forgive me if I left scavengers out of my equation.
If you are here solely for the profits, you may be playing the wrong game.

Steem is a commons.

Cash is a commons.

Water is a commons.

Gasoline is a commons.

The same rules apply.

Cash is not a commons, it's an illusion used by banksters to enslave everybody else.
Water is a commons, we shouldn't pollute it.
Gasoline is not a commons, it has to be extracted.

If we lived in common, we could have it much better, but a crapitalusts would never have it.
Keep working, stop paying.

Wait a minute, I just noticed your profile says, "Anti-Socialist"!!!

WTF.

Whut?

https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/emma-goldman-there-is-no-communism-in-russia

It's your indoctrination that has you confused.

What does the second 'S' stand for in USSR?
Not communism.
