@blueorgy, i fully supported and you are saying right your offers are very valuables.
Just advertised you in my last beer tasting. Maybe it gets more views! I like the generosity! The price tag sure is hefty for a newbie.
Just wanting to add here what you get with your ticket:
Please note that the cheapest ticket price for SteemFest is 1/3 of the costs, as the rest is sponsored via generous whales and sponsorships. You get:
all this starts to add up :)
upvoted please do same
For all of you who don't grab a ticket via my contest and others it really is well worth the price! @roelandp just simply mentioned the physical side of things, imagine adding the emotional, the life experience, and the fun you will have if you go... imagine ;) priceless!
I am a robot. I no emotions :P Thanks for adding this!
A ticket without dinners and drinks is always mandatory. It makes absolutely no sense for someone who wants to attend the conferences, social gatherings and hackatons to be forced a "top notch" dinner. It's all too over the top for a tech/social gathering, which should of course be special but on a different, simpler way. Anyway, is it possible for me, as a Portuguese citizen, to attend a conference? Can we pay "at the door" to attend? I would very much like to attend a conference or two but don't have time for the whole package, and many locals will be interested too, especially after the web-summit. Thank you for your time organizing Steemfest, and thank you for choosing Portugal, I just think in a near future, there will be so many people wanting to attend that you have to organize things in a different way and more people would come for a cheaper price, as it makes no sense to depend on donations, unless every steemit user would donate a few steem to make everything possible.
Cheers!
Hi Grandslam...
Just so you know: you only pay for the conference with the 'Minnow' ticket. All F&B and side events are sponsored via Whales & Sponsorships.
Additionally:
So I am not sure you are completely up 2 date with all infos! Please check https://steemfest.com for pricing.
Walk up prices for Websummit, to stay in your comparison example (as it is an event held in Lisboa (but for profit), are 3000 EURO. I am not sure you are going to want those prices for SteemFest.
It is recommendable to just buy a Minnow -ticket now and you have to full days of conference, if you unfortunately won't be able to attend all side events. It is still only 25% of the Websummit price :) And way greater. (but I am biased :P)
Hi @steemfest, thanks for replying.
I was referring to last years websummit and the fact it gathered lots of tech-savvy people's attention that would probably be interested in Steemfest, and of course Steemfest is way greater and with an extremely fair price, I just wanted to know if I could could attend a single conference as I can't attend all of them, thanks for the clarifying information! And please consider the possibility of opening a donation pool in the future, open to every Steemit user to further help in covering costs, or even pay for the whole thing, that would be fantastic.
Cheers and thank you for your work!
Thats how we can lower the price actually, through donations :) additionally check @t-r-f where fellow attendees donate steem and sbd to redistribute to attendees for covering travel expenses!
