Great post, dude. My parents weren't very artistic, but I'm glad that they encouraged my creativity in all its forms when I was younger. Also I definitely need to go check out some of those murals your friend did, do you know where in Austin those are at?

Yep, here's his website: http://mikejohnstonartist.com. Random urban locations throughout Central Austin. Lately, he's had a lot of commissions with tech agencies, decorating interior walls.
Ooh, and in case you're interested, "Truth" got his start with an artist collective called #spratx. If you search for that tag, you'll find a variety of Austin street artists, all working together to liven up the city walls–I've interviewed several of them on camera: ER, Lucas Aoki, Mauf...
