RE: SteemFest²: Bridging the Gap Between Perception and Reality

they were sold a money grab

Who sold them that? That's not what Steemit.com is about.

Ned and steemit has been to preoccupied to care about users problems

I know it seems that way, but having talked to the team directly myself, I no longer think that, unless by "preoccupied" you mean working night and day to keep the site running at all. I too wish they would show more empathy for user frustration, but their approach in situations like this seems to be more about demonstrating with their actions and fixing the issues than talking about them or apologizing all the time.

It seems to me, at this beta stage of their development, if people are frustrated with how the site works and aren't able to read through Github to figure out what's going on, they should take a break and wait for Steemit to contact them at some point in the future to come back when the site is more stable and can better meet their expectations. This is something Steemit said they are planning to do since they do have the contact information of many people who signed up through the normal signup process.

Updates like this are not silence: Performance and Scalability Updates.

So you haven't heard jerry banfield? He's actually witnessing with you. Listen carefully and compare notes with 10 recruits.

Thanks for the link, i have done other things than waiting for timeouts, refreshing and cursing. It actually got very good about a week ago. But its not stable.

I'm not sure what you mean. Jerry selling people on a money grab has nothing to do with with Steemit the company. Do you think that's somehow Steemit's fault? I had many long talks with Jerry in Lisbon, and I was quite blunt about quite a few things with him. He seemed to appreciate what I had to say, and I hope it was helpful for him.

Yes, it got better because of the hard work of the team and people like Justin working 180 hours in two weeks, as I mentioned in the post. When you say it's not stable, do you have something specific in mind? Maybe the transaction broadcast error? They are working on stuff, and you can see that directly in Github if you want.
