Welcome to my live blog about Day 1 of SteemFest².
6:30 CET: Shock in the morning, the new Steemit Logo
It's 6:30 CET and I'm enjoying my breakfast. As usual, a cereal with fresh fruit and a double espresso.
But what a "shock". Green is the new blue. Okay, we'll get used to that too.

8:30 CET: Second Shock, I need new shoes
For the first time in my life i‘m flying with carry-on baggage only.
I reduced my luggage to a minimum, and also refrained from wearing a second pair of shoes as a replacement. And promptly Murphy struck.
I'm on the suburban train heading for the airport.
10:45 CET: Munich Airport
Lufthansa is also funny. I was able to check in my little suitcase at the baggage claim. So I didn't have any extra luggage for free.
At the airport, I wanted to buy some new shoes. However, they were somewhat expensive. So I fly to Lisbon with a hole in my shoe, I hope it doesn't rain too much.
I'm now sitting at the gate and waiting for it to start soon. The plane has already landed and the luggage is being loaded.
15:00 Fenix Hotel
I finally arrived in Lisbon and traveled with the underground train to the Fenix Hotel. In front of the hotel I just met @gargon, @felixxx, @nelyp, @juanmigualsalas and @timsaid.

I got a room in the upper floor with a nice view at the Praça Marquês de Pombal.
The flight was ok, this was my awesome lunch:
17:00 WET: Basement Fenix Lisboa Hotel
I just made my checkin for SteemFest² and got my whristle band.
Checkin for SteemFest² was in the basement of the Fenix Lisboa Hotel.
There the @firepower crew waits for the steemians.
Seems that I was not the last one who checked in.
It feels like Christmas, in these bags are nice presents.
And there are T-Shirts too. From S over M, L and XL to XXL. With the new Steemit Logo and the SMT Icons.
In the bags a special present is hidden, a steemit branded water bottle, to keep beverages cold and fresh.
19:45 WET: Fenix Lisboa
I got hungry and walked to Burger King at the other side of the large roundabout infront of the Fenix Lisboa Hotel. Now I‘m enjoying a Sagres Beer and wait for the SteemFest² opening.

The Party is over, or one could also say: there was no more beer in Lisboa. The opening drinks session took place in the garden behind Fenix Lisboa and Fenix Garden Hotel.
It was nice to meet old fellows from SteemFest 1 and new steemians.

Und mir wurden eben €60 abgeknöpft weil ich wohl aus versehen die letzte Station zum Flughafen schwarz gefahren war... Auch lustig, wenn man ewig nach dem billigsten Flug gesucht hat.. 🙄

Started my day with a quick stop at steemit chat to check my steemwatch messages and see whats new. Led me here first to leave me puzzled for a moment, as I had no idea a new logo was in the making. I too was shocked and asked myself why not leave good enough alone? I really liked the blue...
Ok, after reading the post about the logo (thank you for the link) it made sense.. somehow. Like you say, we'll get used to it. And your pen pointed into a green future anyways.

Yes, steemit logo has the same shade of green as this ugly pen. Seems to be one of the favourite colors of ned.
I do not know who made this decission regarding the colir choice. It's hardly readable at least and makes me dizzy. I believe they just want to see how well the money incentive works on the website, as they do everything they can to stop people using Steemit but they keep coming! We will not give up! You hear us @Ned !!! lol

Ich wünsche Dir viel Spaß in Lisboa, vermisse bitte nicht die gebratenen Hähnchen, die es überall in kleinen Imbissbuden gibt. Wobei da niemals klar ist worum es sich dabei wirklich handelt, du wirst es sehen :)

Pretty cool and nice new steemit logo. Great developing work.
Looks like the Vodafone logo, but in green. Of course I see a "S" for Steemit? in the logo, and a speech bubble. So the logo makes sense, but is not a killer.

Ja, unterm Strich hätte ich wohl weniger posten und mehr quatschen sollen, aber quatschen mag ich nicht so. Habe gestern nochmal alle Posts überflogen, an manche Sachen konnte ich mich schon gar nicht mehr erinneren, einfach zuviele Eindrücke. So gesehen war es richtig, es in dem Moment zu posten, wo es aktuell war.

I really like changing new style. It look different more than old one. old one is tough. but new one is easily doing and use. We`ll wait another changes.
It was necessary to make a different logo to explain that STEEM coin and steemit.com website are not the same.

Grün und Blau trägt des Kaspers seine Frau. Ich hätte mit einem roten oder orangen Logo gerechnet, bzw. darauf gewettet.
Grün ist die Farbe der Hoffnung...
Echt eine komische entscheidung...sowas wie die farbe hätte man auch durch die community voten lassen können.
