It's been a while since I've posted on Steemit. Although I had fun writing my past posts (and I hope you had fun reading them), I had trouble coming up with consistent content. If you go through my posts, you see I talk about movies, video games, family, science, music, and all sorts of random topics. These are all very important things to me and I do enjoy writing about them all. However, I felt like I made a simple mistake of writing about the most important and best things first, leaving me with less exciting content (for both me to write and you to read) for my future posts. But after SteemFest 2, I found some inspiration.
My Talk
Most of you probably do not know this, but I gave a talk at SteemFest (video link below). My talk was about chaos in our everyday lives; especially in the cryptocurrency markets! This was a mathematical talk, but I did my best to make it so that everyone could understand. However, I still had people come up to me afterwards saying "I loved your passion and it was such a great talk, but it just went right over my head!" So I'll work on that the next time I give a similar talk. But I also had many other people come up to me very interested in my talk. Who would have thought? People were actually interested in my math! I would have never guessed there are people out there (in the Steemit community) that actually like math just as I do!
The Future
So needless to say, I will from here on out talk a lot about math in our every day lives. Don't get me wrong, I will still talk about whatever else may fly through my head, but (interesting) math is the one thing I can really talk about all day. So don't unfollow me with the thought "oh no, this is going to be super nerdy and boring like math always is." My math is cool and fun (at least to me and my new friends at SteemFest). Just watch my talk to find out!
My talk starts at 1:31:20 :
Upcoming posts in the near future
SteemFest 2 Experience.
My new pup, just got this week! Why I felt the need to have a dog.
Why I love math: The hardships and achievements
Is he a little portugese water dog??? If so, or if not, he (she?)'s adorable :-)
She is from Dallas, Texas! Thank you very much!!
Yeah, best to stick to stuff you're passionate about. If it's math that you can happily talk about all day, then so be it. I just followed you and can't wait to see all the fun math talks you have for us "Math in our everyday lives."
Looking forward to your posts.
Consistency is key mate!
