Many thanks to @roelandp and his team for a terrific Steemfest 3! Looking for Steemfest 4 at St. John's Newfoundland - nudge nudge wink wink!

Glad you are home safe and sound and the screening was a success!
I've had parties where worse has happened LOL!
I will go to St. John's for sure in 2019!
It was a success. St. John’s is a long shot but I doubt there is any place in the world that excels in hospitality as Newfoundland. Partying on George Street! Wow. Check it out.
Been there and done that....but would like to share that experience with you and the rest of the Steemians!
Smashed phone, lost glasses and the faff of sorting out 2FA. Sounds like you had quite an eventful trip.
Can't wait to see the movie and you get my vote for SF4 in Newfoundland.
I’m slowly recovering! But can you imagine closing off George Street for Steemfest party! Wow and the convention centre opens up onto the street!
Sounds like a great venue if we could move sf4 to the summer months. Newfoundland is pretty cold in November, no?
The same as Krakow or Toronto for that matter. The arguments against North America is it's too costly in the major cities either fall or summer and availability of venues for 6 days is difficult.
The Carribean might be a possibility in the off-season - North America's summer, but we'd have to change the date to say July! But I don't know how many North Americans would like to go to countries nearer the Equator in our summer. The biggest plus with Newfoundland is the east coast hospitality which is next to none. And we need to give consideration to getting visas for participants from around the world. Given that consideration, Canada has a good welcoming history. St' John's is not perfect but I rate it very high for safety, lower cost and hospitality.
I think you nailed it with this point with all the hassles some people face trying to get into some countries.
Personally the weather doesn't bother me one way or the other. I live in England lol
To paraphrase Billy Connely.
Did you suggest it as a location to @roelandp when you were at SF3?
Love Billy! Yes, I did mention it to Roeland and he asked me to get him some stuff as we move forward. It's a long shot because of the flight connections. But so was Krakov. I'll keep pressing!
It would be worth looking at the demographics and see where the largest group of steemians are. There must be quite a few in the North Americas.
There are about 130 of us active steemians in the UK and it's a relatively short flight for us to Canada and only a couple more hours for most people in central europe.
Maybe we should start a campaign? :-) Have a !tip as my VP is low.
🎁 Hi @brian-rhodes! You have received 0.1 SBD tip from @molometer!
@molometer wrote lately about: A 100% Upvote From Me Is Worth $60 Million!? Feel free to follow @molometer if you like it :)
Sending tips with @tipU - how to guide :)
For 2fa - use Authy. You can retrive the account in case you lost your phone, just like in your case
Yeah. I’m looking into it. But I didn’t lose my Google 2FA. For some reason I lost the 2FA for a couple of exchanges - the ones I had tokens on. Two of my 2FA’s work fine. So I’m hoping it’s just a matter of resetting but Bittrex hasn’t responded to my request yet. Arrgh!
Hey, dude! I know you were kinda unlucky on this trip, but I just want to say it was great meeting you! I think the coolest conversation I had at SF was with you, really got me thinking, so thank you for that!
Sorry, again, for all these mishaps, but then, they're going to be a fun little SF memory someday :D You're right, it's scary to think how much we rely on our phones...I can't imagine my trip to Krakow without it! :))
Hi @ honey due! I have you in my steem.film database now so expect some emails from me soon. It was a pleasure speaking with you as well. Some good things are happening on steemit. Stay in touch.
Awesome! I look forward to hearing from you!
Brian, Looking forward to see film ! I've had an amazing chat with you during SF3 ... Never had chance to say bye ... But we say - better to say hello than bye !
Great speaking to you as well and I look forward to many more! Stay in touch and I haven’t forgotten. Once I have the screenplay polished I will send it to you ‘in confidence’. Here’s my email. [email protected] Send me yours! I’m following you now so I’m looking forward to some cool stuff from you!!!!
A few of us are suffering from 'Steemfest flu'. You had a few mishaps, but you made it home. Great to hang out with you again.
I'd love to come over to you next time.
Thoroughly enjoyed your company and your energy. Can’t wait til SteemFest 4. I didn’t get a cool, but my allergies went nuts from the smog. Caught me totally off guard. Stay in touch!
I guess that is the reason I was not hearing from you specially in the steemfest. I understand all this terrible situation and I've been there after a mobile robbery I went through. It is hard to get back to a working state but it should also teach us the hard way. I hope everything will be back to normal soon.
It sure is. Awful to think but life without a mobile is no life at all!
It is really hard to live without one nowadays :P
I frlt like a pull toy. No glasses. No phone.
