In the third position was Vinicius Junior, who last year became the most expensive 16-year-old footballer of all time after Real Madrid agreed to pay Flamengo €45 million to get the striker to Santiago Bernabeu. Kluivert's Ajax teammate and defender Matthijs De Ligt finished fourth.

De Ligt has been impressive for club and country over the past few months and rightly so, earned his place among the best teenage talents. FIFA U-17 World Cup winner and Manchester City starlet Phil Foden was ranked number five. The Englishman helped the Three Lions to the podium finish in India towards the end of last year.
