Steemgigs Proposed Logo, App Icon and Header

This blog is about the proposed logo design for @surpassinggoogle @steemgigs. I used programs such as Concepts, Autocad and Photoshop to come with the design.

The 1st thing that I did was to read a bit about @steemgigs. From then, I started to conceptualize. I used the characters S and G to start off with the design and then thought of a simple image that can represent @steemgigs which is a mountain. Why mountain, its because @steamgigs at first started at the bottom and as time goes by, with all the efforts that went into this project, it will slowly climb up and reach the peak from then it will become a guide and inspiration to others.

To continue, I started with 2 squares and rotated it 45 degrees and combined it.

Afterwards, I sketch out the character S and G diagonally using the 2 squares as a guide. Why diagonally because for me it represents that @steemgigs will not be the same as other platforms. It can evolve and can go into different directions.

After finalizing the frame, I then applied some colors using light blue and gray.

I then started drafting the design in Autocad.

and exported it to pdf so I can use it Photoshop to apply the colors and effects.

I then used the Photoshop wand to select the space inside the combined S and G and painted it with black.

afterward, I applied a gradient using light blue as the base color.

I did the same thing with laptop and hand graphics below. but instead of a gradient, I used color fill.

Next after the design was finalized, I came up with different color themes.

Then designed the App icons

And tested how the icon will look on a smartphone.

I also came up with the header design.
