Neglected Widows
Most widows in my community are neglected species. The bread winner of the family passed on leaving behind a widow and children to fend for. Majority of widows are housewives and do not have jobs. It happens that feeding the children left with her is a big burden. She is left to beg or seek for odd jobs to do to make ends meet. They often live from hand to mouth. At times the widows and their children are driven away from their homes by the inlaws. Some may be In-law who give them extra children that they rarely take care of.
Celebrations
During festivities like Christmas, these families often have no cause to celebrate. Mostly the families go hungry and it is pathetic.
My Gig
My gig is to try through #steemit, #steemgigs and other avenues, to raise funds to care for such widows and their families.

The gig in question is not a one man show. It involves all of us. It can be done by a steemit community. It is giving back to the community. It can be a steemit #Kenya affair but all of us need to be involved.. Together we can make it
