I would love to use this means to invite every steemian to offer a #steemgig today.
A SteemGig is simply a steemit post, within which you practice your expertise and offer it as a service in exchange for steem or SBD. However, you can get more creative, an offer to give out SBD or Steem to incite steemians in deed, in to doing more creative, innovative deeds.
Most Steemgig posts are done under #steemgigs or #steemgig
How To Do A Steemgig?

Sample steemgigs:
- I will create your logo design, for 5 SBD
- I will create a voice over in the voice of Angelina Jolie, that advertises your brand, for 5 SBD
- I will submit your steemit URL to my 5,000,000 targeted Facebook followers, for 5 SBD
- I will write your steemit username on the sand of any Philippines sea of your choosing, for 5 Steem
- I will create a steemit post, that teaches you how to cook any meal recipe, for 5 SBD
- I will translate your post into Filipino, for 5 SBD
But the point and beauty of a SteemGig is: "Everyone has something to offer", so look at these sample SteemGigs:
- I will record myself eating a giant cake, while inviting people to follow you on steemit, for 5 SBD
- I will pay 5 SBD, if you make a post showing yourself writing "steemit.com" on your classroom whiteboard.
- I will pay 5 SBD, to anyone who can send a BIG Mac to my address.
You will notice that #steemgigs allow you the freedom of flexing your creative muscles and waters your innovative abilities.

1. @teamhumble: found #steemgigs in his early days on steemit and immediately created a venture that involved converting entire steemit posts into professional voice over. He looked to the Dev-Request channel on the SteemGigs community to speak to the developers there, regarding building tools. Currently, he is doing great things with this expertise and involving the steemit community in creating a community-driven steemit powered video, filled with voice-overs!
2. @drpuffnstuff: was able to administer the creation of a full-blown steemit.com-sponsored wooden library in a city in USA, without leaving his home, by offering a steemgigs bounty within his SteemGig; to which @valued-customer (steemian indeed) responded to make it a success. 3. @inkphinit: flexed his innovative muscles and used a SteemGig to incite steemians into stirring steemit growth by doing charity work. Basically, in one steemgig, he offered a bounty to steemians, who would donate books and clothes to charity hubs in any nation & @thatsweeneyguy"steemians indeed" who made it a success! & @drpuffnstuff were among
4. @thatsweeneyguy: has worked tirelessly ever since, in propagating #steemgigs by writing a magazine-type weekly post, that compiles all the steemgigs. He also updates our quip document and offered and done successful steemgigs.

Anything that involves giving out a bounty or payment, in exchange for "steemian deeds" can constitute a SteemGigs.
Anything that involves "steemians indeed & "steemians in need" can constitute a SteemGig.

Newer steemians may be trying to find their feet at this stage and not everyone is a blogger but "Everyone has something to offer".
It is good for newer steemians, to start to explore the true beauty of the steem blockchain from day one as it helps them understand quicker; the use of steem & steemit, even a tool to become truly empowered, in terms, of building entire empires, enterprises, business etc as opposed to just blogging.
Overall, a steemgig involves a measure of blogging!

I really need to put my head into this. Couple of months ago, when I was starting here at steemit I saw post that stated that doing #steemgig is indeed an extra means of earning here at steemit. Hence I have had the steemgig discord channel on my list from practically the start of my steemit journey, however I barely visited. 😞 @drpuffnstuff and @thaysweeneyguy were even amongst that first steemians I followed because of #steemgig. Having said these, I have not truly made any serious move to do anything.

Yep. Dever has used this since day one and it has taken him places really fast. It is beyond the sbds, it is about opportunities and steemgigs helps you move faster in that regard. When someone uses your service smoothly, they give you more rep becos most times they do a post about you and recommend you to others and that is where it all starts. Moreoever, you document every progress and still earn from the blogging. @chinito has his first steemgig, you can avail of his service for the fun of it

We can chat on discord for that. Curation means looking for valuable content and submitting it for upvotes. They will teach you how to do it. it is something you already do. Like that comment you left to teach someone. For til tag, as long as it teaches something that you learn. Of course, it will, @iyanpol12! I hardly ever remember fiverr, which I used to be a big fan of and hire people to perform certain tasks for me. Now, I am in @steemgigs on discord, offering services in my area of expertise and it is amazing. To tell you the truth, #steemgigs is competing favourably with fiverr and it will continue to, as long as as we all make that happen on steemit. There are steemians (''steemgigers''), who now do those same things that I used to run to fiverr for. Some ''steemgigers'' are even doing better than those I've hired on fiverr.

Well you will see from my examples that it has been done as a steemgig and it worked. The logic is tweaking what doesn't work till it works plus freedom to try new things out
I don’t have anything off the time of my brain that I don’t already need to micro manage myself to get done.
I hope the community comes up with some fun and creative ways to help spread and encourage further steemgigs. Always interesting to see the types of things people are willing to hire someone for in terms of a gig.
