Hunter's comment
The difference between this game console and others is that it is open source first and the technological features are higher than others. You can enjoy playing games as well as learn about coding when playing games.
2048, the DIY open-source game console, allows users to create unique retro-style video games and visuals whilst learning about coding.
FEATURES :
- Creoqode 2048 is compatible with both Windows and Mac, and it uses Arduino IDE software as the programming platform
- The name 2048 refers to the special screen that is used for this game console. The screen is made of 2048 individual LED bulbs

This hunt is a new way of giving the best of technology in gaming aspect. It has a funny look that is incredible
awesome, soon there will be more professional open source products than proprietary.
This is looking very cool game, interesting features. Games are one of a great way of getting fun. I like this Hunt. Great One👍
This opensource console is creative, maybe for kids who like to assemble it will be fun, making the game concept itself requires cool imagination, good for educating, good hunting!
There are a lot of game consules. But this is the first time to see the open source one which allows you to make your own console.
I'm sure the Arduino community will find many things to do with this besides play games, because that LED screen isn't going to be that fun for long.
Nice hunt @alikoc07!
This is one cool toy for kids to learn a little bit about electronics as it comes in kit form so, it would need to be assembled before use.
I kind of like the retro look of the 64x32 RGB display, I imagine it would be fairly bright which would make it clearer to see in daylight.
I would think this has lots of potential for other uses other than being just a gaming console. I'm sure many dev's will be tinkering around with this.

At £189/$249 is it worth it? I don't know but, I'd love to try it out as it would be fun to make a game or two!
@donkeysworld.
I always wanted to have a game console. After seeing this product, I immediately increased my enthusiasm. this is special design. Thanks for 2048. Cool hunt
The entertainment that I was looking for. A large console to play several fun games and get bored. The design is atypical, what many players like.
remember to hunt really your best finds on the web, we want the site to be fully of quality awesome products that people will love!
some power tips for the next hunt.. .
its nice to see DIY devices are getting more and more everyday thanks to the open hardware and open source communities. I am sure in near future there will be a snow ball effect on these area. Open source gaming console is not good because it can replace expensive consoles but also teaches many technical stuff while building it. Good Hunt!
