The latest installment to DJI's Ronin Handheld Gimbal series.

Initially unveiled in CES 2018, The DJI Ronin-S was recently made available for order.

DJI is effectively entering the DSLR handheld electronic gimbal market competing with other companies like Zhiyun and Feyu. Utilizing their established and research capability to come up with a killer product. while at the same time giving small-time video makers the tool to film high quality stabilized video previously only available for big studios.

Described in the official website as a tool to empower creators,
"The Ronin-S gives independent filmmakers the power to capture spontaneous moments with clarity, smoothness, and a refreshing perspective."

Product ships worldwide and can be ordered at an affordable price of USD $699.

Pros:

• Perfect for vloggers and film-makers! I bet this is also perfect for beginners who are new to the filming industry since it looks like easy to navigate
• Compatible with almost all DSLR Models
• It has high functionalities that are perfect for capturing motions and timelapse
• It can be navigated through your smartphone which makes it perfect for timelapse videos

Cons:

• This is a bit pricey for me but definitely worth the investment especially if you are making videos for a living

• It has a freedom to stabilized shots while you are on the move
• It has innovative design which helps elevate the camera to display obstruction free and making sure that always capture every line of sight
• An all in one control that allows you to do transistion from motion to camera
• Portable which makes it more convenient for easy storage

• Great tool for film makers & photographers
• Is able to take on weight close to 4KG

• Expensive to own as its one of the most premium stabilisers out there

DJI is a Chinese based company. I was really shocked in the first place because we dont trust Chinese brands. Hence DJI provides quality and durable products.

Pros:

• Innovative Design
• Dji has this cool feature that the gimbal has to connect to the camera and manually focus it with your lens
• Up to 3.6 Kilogram load capacity, unlike other gimbal techs that has closely similar price than the dji. Would highly recommend to buy this Gimbal than the others. (Not bias)
• Affordable Price. Definetly would be buying this. Thanks for your hunt. Ill be partnering this tech to my 80d in the future!

Cons:

• None so far. Since gimbals are expected to be heavy.

Although the Ronin S is still a decent gimbal, it is starting to show its age and I think that something like the Weebill S can definatley be a better addition to your camera accessories.
