For now it is just a project very ambitious, a great design by the spanish firm Oliver Design in conjunction with the social project, candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. Peace Boat, Japanesse NGO.
They are designing a cruise that has the capacity for more than 2000 people.
It is expected to use eco-friendly and sustainable technologies, which reduce CO2 emissions by up to 40%
It will have a total weight of 60 tons.
Fuel reduction of around 20%.
750 cabins.
They aspire to achieve these eco objectives with the placement of 6000 m2 of solar panels, producing
750 kilowatts
The first trip is scheduled for the inauguration of the Olympics Games in Tokyo

The great thing is that it uses eco friendly techniques...so lesser carbon footprint.
I hope they build it soon.
As someone who loves cruising and did her markering plan on Carnival Cruise Lines in university, I find this initiative interesting. It's about time that sustainability comes to market in this industry. The fact that the company also helps promote peace and human rights makes it a win. We absolutely should be harvesting all of natures's powers to support our planet and decrease our footprints. I have children I am leaving this world to. Yay wind and solar power!
