When trying to match colours by pictures, our smartphone display will add errors to the real colour due to display itself and the colour settings on our device.

Assuming this device is 100% true in determining the real colour - meaning the scanner and the analogue to digital conversion does not add an error to the real colour of the scanned object/colour - this is a SUPER tool for anybody who regularly needs to determine colours for paint, wallpapers and so on.
Since the device cost about 100 Euro I would not buy this when re-decorating my home... Although, using services like Peerby, the investment maybe recoverable through renting out the device to people in the neighbourhood.
