Nice hunt. There is a very nice awareness campaign happening in India about how wasteful showers can be, and how water used by a household in a month is enough for an entire village. (Numbers may be hazy in my head, but the idea is that showering wastes a lot of water.) This looks like a great tool to limit water usage and allow cities to distribute resources efficiently.

I haven't thought of that use case. Indeed, it will be great if this Smart Water will be utilized on higher scale for the whole community and not just in households of those who can only afford.
