Hunter's comment

Jira is a web application that allows you to manage the organization of each of your projects and track it through tools provided by the software, such as tracking errors and automatic update of incidents to avoid future problems. It offers a simple interface to the view, providing useful tips for the project leaders, keeping up to date with the novelties of the project or the changes that have to be made.
It is a support for the different practices in different areas.
It was designed so that all the members of your project team can plan and carry out a software in the shortest possible time, but with the greatest effectiveness, as well as monitor and maintain the compilation of the project in order to detect the problems that may arise, providing quick, effective and accessible solutions through real-time reports, all this according to your project. It also offers estimates so you can work more accurately on the project.
With Jira you can create your own team and choose the methodology that you like most for the realization of the software, they offer you infinite! And the best thing is that you can keep your team up to date with the changes in the project through notifications offered by the web app.

Jira, easily integrates with other development tools and project management. It works on all platforms, the information will always be available, it is always making improvements to meet your needs.

So I think this hunt has sold Jira short and you could have discussed a lot more about the benefits of this product. A lot of the screenshots are from the old software too which doesn't show it in it's best light. Here's my review:

Pros:

  1. One of my favourite things about Atlassian (creators of Jira) is that they have a whole series of products which work together to help aid in delivering software easier. For documentation, they have confluence, for source control they have bitbucket, for customer service they have service desk and of course for project management they have Jira. As these all work together you can work with tools your familiar with very easily.
  2. The software can be easily adapted based on your team's style, whether you want to work SCRUM, Waterfall, etc you can use their tools to help improve your software delivery process.
  3. Jira can be deployed both on the cloud or on-premise, this is important for large organisations which obviously don't want to risk their important ideas being compromised.
  4. Through their store, you can add multiple different adds for various different tools you may need.
  5. Highly supported by other software to allow one-click integrations with tools such as a Slack or AHA.
  6. They have created a pricing structure which I believe is very reasonable for smaller teams. Their pricing grows with your team, for example, it only costs $10 per month for teams of 10.
  7. In the past year they've done some great work to improve the overall UX of their product, previously it was very clunky and overall a bit confusing for new starters. They've spent a lot of time improving the overall user journey and refining the terminology to make it more accessible for non-technical users.

Cons:

  1. You will need other software to correctly plan for Jira in my opinion, this could be through an add-on or through something built around building roadmaps. Of course, you could do this partially in Jira, but it really doesn't everything you would need as a product owner to correctly build both a presentable and easy to understand roadmap for your company. I know they don't aim to do this, but important to note for software teams.

Hunt-Master-Extrordinaire! Thank you for following our posting guidelines! Your hunt has been verified and is now eligible for a @steemhunt upvote. Yay!

I have used JIRA for 2 years before I moved to Trello when I was working in a development firm. Now as an open source developer, I have switched completely to GitHub Projects.

Its a great software that helps you monitor what are your lapses because its hard to manually track those errors by your own. So I would say this is my pros and my cons is none. keep on hunting buddy
