Dead Drops,, an anonymous offline network for exchanging files in public spaces, is a lie that this type of network exists, but it is becoming more and more popular.
USB Flash Drives are embedded in walls, buildings and corners accessible to anyone from public space. Everyone is invited to leave or copy files from a Dead Drop. Connect your laptop to walls, buildings or poles to share your favorite files and information.
For spaces where there are communication problems with the internet, it would be a good initiative.
Share music, videos and relevant information that will help.
I think I will join this initiative
- Dead Drops are installed empty with the exception of the "readme.txt" file that explains the project.
- Dead Drops is an open participation project. If you want to install a Dead Drop in your city or neighborhood look for instructions on their website.

Hi @tecnol,
Thanks for yet another hunt. Sadly enough I can not approve merely USB sticks in a wall, posted to a Google map.
While I find it a great take on whispernet, as your reasoning to “join” states: dead drops is an open participation project and not a product. As such it is outside of our product scope, sadly enough.
