This is a perfect app for sky gazers who like to look deep in night sky and wonder what lays far far away into the vast darkness.
SkySafari uses the gps data from your phone to accurately map the sky above you.
Simply point your phone to a point in sky and it will find stars, constellations, planets, and more.

I'm one of those kids who took a star map and watched the stars with my binoculars. Then I took more advanced and convenient maps and then today I see this:
Consider me glad and impressed. The app has basically everything I'd want from it and I'm pretty much the target audience here. Most of this kind of apps just come for iOS which I don't use. So Android support is an extra plus. The app makes Google Sky Map look like a project from some indie developer/hobby project in comparison. You can also back up all your settings and there are tons of useful customization available.

Is it accessible for all types of Android devices? I love everything that has to do with solar system, planetarium and all that question, but I've always been careful with this type of applications because they often give you wrong information about the story. However, reading the comments, it seems to be reliable.
Yes it is available for Android 8....I have installed the app myself and it seems accurate and awesome.
I had a similar app for an iPad I used to have. I love seeing at the stars and learning the names of the constellations and history behind them. Great hunt, thanks for sharing!
