Steemimages is back with a new role

in #steemimages6 years ago (edited)

Steemimages has been on a short break that has now come to an end and a few things have changed since our last posting.

As we all now have the ability to hide resteems on our personal blogs, the reason for @steemimages existence has changed. This account will now be used to highlight one particular steemian's work per week to hopefully raise their profile regardless of their current reputation score.

Nothing stands still on the blockchain and @steemimages is no exception. The fundamentals remain the same.

The search for good content and to encourage people to improve their work and engagement by upvoting them in a positive and uplifting manner.

Tip 1

For example. If you want to improve your photography. It can help if you to look at as many photographs as possible in the topic you are interested in and maybe even some genres you are not interested in just to get some new ideas.

If you want to improve your content writing then there is nothing like practicing every day to see what works and what can be improved.

This week we are looking at the work of one content creator. @rosatravels who combines photos with travel commentary in a photo journalist style.

Not everyone will have the possibility to travel to this region of the world and even fewer will have the chance to see this area from a balloon flight. It is my opinion that this is a very valuable and unique collection of content.

Lift off to a new view over the valley and terrain of Cappadocia

The sunlight, landscape and terrain above, seen from the ground level

The ancient spinning machine above is not only practical but is also painted attractively

These images above give us a glipse into a world we don't usually see from an angle we don't usually have access to.

That is the power of seeing the world through other peoples eyes and the balloon photos give a great overview of Cappadocia.

If they made you feel like looking at the world in a bit more detail then they have succedded.

Having filmed from a hot air balloon myself I can tell you that it is not the easiest thing to do (see below).

@steemimages doesn't follow any accounts and we don't play favorites. We are looking for interesting content that many people will never get the opportunity to see in any other way except through the committed efforts of our fellow steemians.

The image quality (I.Q.) of the content is the most important point and the difficulty of getting these photographs above has been taken into consideration.

The data can all be checked for accuracy on steemworld. Every post that gets upvoted also gets resteemed.

The graphic below shows that @steemimages upvoted and resteemed 87 posts from 69 accounts over the last seven days. Data source Steemworld created by @steemchiller

All of us steemians on the steem network have a very simple task. To find the best content and reward it. What is good content is of course impossible to quantify as it is totally subjective.

Our criteria is simple. We are looking for good content and image quality (IQ). Images that are sharp and in focus.

We hope that our upvotes and resteems will encourage you to keep posting and get more people to see your work. Don't forget to share your posts on social media for more exposure.

Thank you @roastravels for sharing your trip to Cappadocia. I am sure many people have heard the name but will never have the chance to go there in person so your work has great value to us all. I look forward to your future posts.
Well done for being the first steemian to be featured on this new platform initiated by @molometer !tip

Welcome back and a great selection of images

Thanks @tattoodjay, @rosatravels has produced many posts on this region and the balloon shots are very interesting as you get a good overview of the whole area.

You are also on the list of steemians to be featured in future posts.

Its great that you take the time to put these posts together showcasing the wonderful work

There is so much 'content' flying through the feeds and doing this curation project has been great for me to see a very wide variety of photographic content in particular.

There are a limited number of what I consider top notch photography contributors and you are one of them.

Of course, all personal preferences are subjective but I now what I like.

@steemimages is my take on the content that I find interesting and useful.

YEs indeed there is so much flowing around on here at various levels, and I think its cool that peopleuse whatever they have to get photos related to the posts they may be writing, but I would agree there are a limited number of what I also consider top Notch photographer,s the only difference my be i never considered myself one of them :)

Thanks kindly

You have a good eye for the camera and the little nooks and crannies you find in New York are a taste of the city plus you have the beach scenes at home. Win win.

Thanks so kind of you and truly appreciated
