Here is the delayed round up of @steemimages fifth and six weeks of curation. It has been a challenging couple of weeks as we have been away for a while with no interent connection and as you may be aware @steemimages is a manual curation service with no automation of upvoting or resteeming.
In the time that we did get any web access we did what we could and still managed to upvote and resteem over 200 posts with interesting, mundane or unusual architectural photographs from all over the world. Don't worry mundane is good too.
Tips!
There were many good images that would have been seen by more people if they had been tagged correctly. Using the most appropriate tags for your photogrpahs will increase the number of views and potential upvotes that you get from people interested in that topic.
Again many images could have been much improved and better from a compostional point of view if they had been cropped in tighter to the subject of the photos.
The criteria that is most important to @steemimages is the image quality(IQ). Many images were very good and high resolution. Get closer or crop tighter. Either way fill the frame with the subject.
Many posts had a few votes and some posts that had no votes. We hope that our upvotes and resteems will encourage you to keep posting and get your photos to a wider audience.
This last two weeks we focused on architectural photography. Architectural photography can be very diverse and covers a wide range of possibilities from bridges to monuments to the humble garden shed. It is how you photograph them that makes them interesting.
Tips!
It always a good idea to ask yourself why you took a particular shot? What was it about that image that attracted your interest?
This is not a competition as such but thought you might like to know who got the most upvotes from @steemimages this week. Every post that gets upvoted also gets resteemed.
@steemimages upvoted and resteemed 150+ posts from 104 accounts (approx) over the two week period. Data source Steemworld created by @steemchiller

The graphic below only shows the last 7 days of voting so may not match with the actual number of votes your posts received which may be higher.
These interesting images were all original and these steemians are well worth your attention.
We have many talented photographers on the steem apps. I hope you enjoyed our selection of their work and that you will spread the word about these active steemians. Give them a follow.
All next week we will be curating #goldenhourphotography
Tips!
Golden hour photography is the time of day usually 1 - 2 hours before the sun is about rise or set. You need to be up early to get the best quality light for your morning photography or you can go for the early evening sun as it sets.
If you can incorporate some form of structures in the image it helps with composition. Ancient buildings and monuments to bridges and skyscrapers can be beautifully lit with the golden rays at these times of day.
Remember to use the correct photography hashtag which helps us to find your work. Have a great week ahead

Please do not ask for upvotes or follows and do not send any steem or SBD to this account. If you do it will be treated as a donation. We wish to remain unbiased in our selections and we want to encourage minnows especially.

Thanks for the upvotes, resteems and mention in this post. It does encourage me to keep posting. Might struggle with golden hour, as I'm doing black and white at the moment but I look forward to seeing your curated photos
