This reminds me, by the way, of how gold mine shares are invested. I have read stories and heard them secondhand in which gold mining corporations operate. The original shares are important in that type of organization, too.
Let's just say that when the "big investors" come to check the operation of the mine to find out why production is stagnating, they better not find gold dust in your pockets.
I know a guy who discovered a gold mine in the Yukon, worked it for a few months himself, and sold the mining rights to it. It was a mess. I should blog about that some day.
