The answer to this question was posted as an announcement in big letters for 7 straight days leading up to the switch;P
It's been switched to a lottery style while @steemit-health pursues scaling solutions. Paying out 300+ accounts per day is already not easy and pretty soon it could be many thousands. While ultimately I'd love to payout everyone individually... it may prove impossible without significantly more funding.
So lottery style it is for now:)
really :o, I haven't seen that post lol. Thanks for the reply! And I can see how that can be a task when it has to be done manually haha.
I'm just starting to look at dabbling with the API but I'm fairly certain it should be possible to fetch a list of commenters and automate the payouts from there. I'm not sure, however, whether there's a limit on the number of API calls that can be made within a certain time limit.
