Expressing gratitude, every single evening. Standing still by one thing (or possibly several) that you're grateful of that day will improve being happy and making others happy as well. It ensures you don't take beautiful things for granted, but receive them again and again as if they were newly given. This also draws you to the here-and-now, the place where, ultimately, life is lived after all.
