The advantages of these free radicals due to endogenous antioxidants (SOD, GPx and Catalase) are no longer able to capture or neutralize free radicals. these free radicals will perform oxidation reactions with fat and protein, which can damage cell membranes and damage DNA composition.
This is the beginning of the occurrence of oxidative damage known as oxidative stress that if left too long can cause a mutation that causes the occurrence of some degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart, cataracts, premature aging and others.
Prevention of oxidative stress is usually given a substance that can capture, neutralize the excess free radicals in the body better known by the name of Antioxidants either derived from nature (herbal remedies) and synthetic antioxidants.
Natural ingredients as herbal remedies for the treatment of diseases caused by free radicals and cancer are increasingly being used today. One of the plants used for the development of herbal medicine is from gaharu plants. Utilization of gaharu leaf has not been widely known to the public.
The use of Gaharu leaves for medicines in countries such as China, Korea, and Japan has developed considerably from the past to present.
Currently, many herbal medicinal products are mixed from gaharu leaf extraction one of the popular in the community is the type of tea beverage gaharu that we can buy at the store or order it online. there is no harm in the trial and you can definitely feel the benefits of gaharu leaves properties.
