Hello Steemians,
Greetings,
let us make our future now, and let us make our dreams tomorrow's reality.
~Malala Yousafzai
Hi, I am Aashish from Nepal. I hope you all know me very well, if you don't then I believe it's just a matter of time ;)
I am from a part of the world, where the true beauty of nature exists. There the true meaning of life exists. There the people struggling for their living. Yet, enjoying nature, life, and hard works :)
I am also a very average persona at least, I am from a family where parents are educated but don't know how to turn off a computer. You know what I am trying to say. It's not only mine, but also many others'.
And there was me wondering how could this ever growing technology fills our lives.
And then, I found steemit :)
My First Reactions When I found This Community
What! A social media platform where everyone gets paid for curating and creating quality content!!

It took me very less time to figure out all these. It was really very hard figuring out what actually is this, what actually are people doing here, how actually are they getting paid... Common gosh! I was all alone, I was one single entity trying to get these things. And then, there were very little blogs and videos informing about this community. I thought why not give it try!! let's actually see inside. And then that made my life :)
Inside here, what really got me involved was not actually how people get paid, but how people get support. The supportive people and the community helped me grow stronger in terms of my vision and my dream. Then I eventually realized this is the place where I can follow my dreams.
The Dream Of Being A Successful Coder
Since my childhood I was extremely fascinated by the art of technology. My first enthusiasm came from a television. I was so much astonished when I saw my mom pressing 33 on the remote and that being displayed on a television screen. I was so small, yet so curious. My zest on technology kept on increasing as I grow up. Then I came to a point where I could write a program to add two numbers in Qbasic. Yet, there was no computer in my house. As time passed, I was able to store and retrieve information of employee on a file and also sort them, but still in Qbasic. I did my SLC and got distinction, and still all I knew about programming was Qbasic :P
You know, our teaching system is not that good. Here, people do not see dreams, all they see is their grade and their marksheets :( Actually, our physics subject in higher secondary level is one of the best physics course in Asia, but what? all these bulky books and copies!! we still rely on them. I did my higher secondary education and there I took physical science, because it was one close to technical field :P as compared to others. I also got distinction on my higher secondary education, yet all I knew about programming was Qbasic :D

Decision Of A Self Study
After my higher education, I realized that I should study self instead of waiting for the time when it's officially taught in the course. So, in those 6 months holidays I studied C and Java online. That was the time when I had some actual understanding of programming and problem solving. I watched youtube videos, and practiced some problems myself from stack overflow. I couldn't offer to buy online courses, but now I could because of steemit :) It's been a year since my higher education and I am currently studying undergraduate on BSC CSIT. We have been taught C language, and we have to wait for 2 or 3 years to do java. Well, I am not criticizing the teaching system of our country, but yeah, it's certainly backward and on the development phase when it comes to technology.
Now that I know C and Java well, I am learning android development. I am still a newbie and more of a student. I think I have to wait 4 years to develop apps if I seek for this very course in my college. That's hell of a time, and I can learn much more than just app development during those time. So, I would have to learn online, and that being said I would need some earning to do that. Not just to buy some online courses, but also to keep my internet up and running. This is where I feel much grateful to steemit, not only because it have me some juices but also it gave me support :) Last month I happened to meet with @matt-a somewhere on comment section and he put me on his bot so that I could earn something and spend that learning online. I am so much thankful to you, you're awesome :)
Thank You For Your Love And Support
Well, not everything counts in numbers and not everything that matters can be measured. I couldn't measure the strength of happiness for I found this community. And, I am also so happy for I have been getting supports from you steemians lately. I am having swift growth in the number of followers and also the amount of SP. I thank you all for making this possible and helping me and also helping the community as a whole. We are all members of a great community, steemit.
