Curate your way to the top of my Curation Leagues and earn friends, followers, and crypto.
Here's why, and how!
Last year I started a series of posts collecting the weekly curation rewards for 20 or so of my regular commentators.
Using their weekly rewards and Steem Power, a simple calculation was made to find out who was using their vested Steem Power to the best effect, financially.
It's not what you've got, it's what you do with it
Apparently!
Anyway, I posted a weekly table along with tips I'd learned myself, and from others and the number of entrants started to grow.
One user, @dontstopmenow, performed really well each week and ended up at the head of a trail in which he was doing the curation for an Orca who had around 180,000 Steem Power. This account holder was not making the best use of his vested Steem Power, averaging at around 170 SP a week with his curation rewards. When @dontstopmenow started 'managing' his SP, his rewards doubled each week.
Following a break, this post emerged again with two leagues - one based around curation rewards, and the other around engagement.
Using my average DataBase skills, i gathered data on each account involved with my first series of posts, and created a table that would show such data as:
- Number of comments made
- Number of comments made on other posts
- Number of witnesses voted for
- Total comment Text
- Votes (Total/Unique/To Self)
- And more!
This table has since become 'The Engagement League', and things have grown rapidly in the past month or so!

500 would be huge! Luckily it shouldn't take too much more time to produce the post at 200, 500, or 1000, but we'll see if/when that happens!
The sponsorship is very welcomed, and I couldn't think of 2 better people too. I had originally thought that a decent Orca/Whale vote each week would do nicely, but having these guys sponsoring makes it feel like they really do care about engagement and curation.

I was curious how I was doing vote wise and then @davemccoy showed me Asher's page, I thought this is just what I need to see how I am doing with my engagement, and voting, was I really helping people or not, was I a below or average commenter/voter. Top 50 works, yeah that image can get pretty big.You amy have to break it into two post one post for each league. On of these week I'll make it into the top league list there.

As you are aware, I was going to write a blog "advertising" your league, but I seemed to have my hands full at home and wrote about that instead. I've been telling anyone who'll listen about this though, and I'm also happy to say that I've noticed people like my friend @thedarkhorse write about your League. The word is spreading my friend, and I only anticipate the numbers in your Curation League to continue growing!

While we are in a downturn on the wider market, I still have plenty of positive messages to read due to the delegations and so this makes it all worthwhile.

Curation is on it's knees, it's a shame the ones doing it (us) don't have the SP to reward the good stuff.
Hey buddy would you mind entering lil ole moi in the leagues? A bot in name only, I am one of @carlgnash's manual curation accounts. I am much more selective in what I upvote than @r-bot. Although I am not focused on curation return in the slightest, sometimes a side-effect of me only voting on the absolutely most creative posts that @carlgnash comes across is that they do end up doing well. I also tend to leave some of the best comments that @carlgnash leaves, because I am always leaving them on really inspiring posts.

Yeah I don't imagine that I leave enough volume of comments on this account to ever crack the leaderboard but you never know. The # of upvotes and comments left with this account is super variable, totally depends on how many posts I come across that I find TRULY original and creative in that way that tickles my human bone.
I actually might do very well on the curation league though. Total SP on this account is not large at all but of course that is no hindrance give your astute methodology :)
Its combining fun with a steep learning curve. Thx for educating and entertaining us.

There's a lot I still don't understand about Steemit. Probably more than I do understand :D I will read this post again tomorrow (my dog is scratching my shoulder now, she wants OUT) and hopefully understand a little more about how things work here.

Thanks for such great information, the truth is that here we have the opportunity to receive a reward for both our publications and for the healing.
I love curating content, but my priority is to heal comments, since I enjoy watching people try to provide additional information to the creator of good content, unfortunately, because of my low voting power I can not support much but my goal is that When I can get good content, I love to go through good blog and cure all comments, as long as they are within the tonic of the subject that is being published and are not spam.
since many only say "nice comment, or good comment,
that if you should not look for efficiency always within the comments,
so I love to visit to give them even a few cents in my vote, and so you enrich your knowledge to see that many people have additional views to the originator of the comment, and often have better information or feedback from the comments, and I've always said,
People make a great effort to provide great ideas through the comments.
So in good time by curators of good content, the other thing is that if you vote comments you have assured your 25% clear in my case I do not get any profits for now but I know that many review their comments to verify who takes the good corresponding reading of comments.
So that is my point of view.

Very cool that you are doing something like this; I keep trying to find initiatives and members here who are more into "the content" and engagement than just creating automated schemes to get "money for nothing." This is a very tiny little account, but you have to start somewhere, so I'd like to be part of your leagues!

I want to thank you again for putting up this curation league, @abh12345. Although I would comment and reply just as much as I would without it, it’s great to be able to compare my efforts with others. Your post on Sunday is really one of the highlights of the week. I’m already excited for next Sunday (although I’ll be disqualified for being hacked & allowing the hackers to send out 30 phishing messages from my account, I’m still looking forward to it). :0)
I realize putting up the post every week is quite a job, but I’m glad you are willing to put in the effort to motivate me and so many other newbies to perform at the best of their game ...

It will probably have an impact indeed: the hackers posted 30 rather long comments, I then had to go out and change them all, ánd I had to send out 30 apologies, all comments I would have never made if I hadn’t been hacked.
It’s such a shame the hackers upvoted all of those comments - I was so proud of my 0 self-vote score...
But then again, in a week or so it will all be nothing more than a memory...
This is super exciting! I have to admit, I often have this league in the back of my mind when I'm writing comments and interacting with new Steemians! You've single-handedly provided me with a whole heap of commenting zest! Really super rapt I made it into the Top 11 last week and super excited to see what this week holds for me.

Your league is an exceptional community event. All can come on to see how they are doing with regard to maiximizing returns or engagement level. Not only that, your post is a gathering place of like-minded individuals. You get to practice your strategy weekly if league 1 is of interest and if league 2 is of interest, you get to make new friends and poke fun at the friendships already made (let’s make the ears of our #newbieresteemday members burn a bit @davemccoy, @lynncoyle1, @themanwithnoname and @bashadow).
We may have monopolized your last curation post with our comments, hehe, but we do so because we enjoy the friendly challenge, the fun & games, and knowing others share our same stance on community engagement. I’m sure all of us mentioned would like to be added indefinitely. Thanks Asher!

I have a new job, and it is stepping up in time requirements. I just won't be able to publish my daily reports for quite a while. You have delegated some SP to me, and I wanted to let you know that my voting will be sporadic, and not on the focus I have been doing, so feel free to rescind your delegation from me.
