RE: New Personal Policy: Flagging all zero-value-add vote/follow begging comments.

in #steemit7 years ago

hey is it true that using bots someone could denial of service attack the steem blockchain and add so much data that the whole thing is fucked? witnesses would have to coorindate and manualy remove the culprit right? Then the whole point of steemit is overrided though because with majroty consensus, wtnesses can reverse any transactiona n delet any post they want riught? It would be like if 51 percebt of bitcoin minrs all coirdindated to revsres a speciic trnsaction, right? Its probobly never going to happen BUt its entirely possible right? How could it ever be impossible? Its software....right?

so how do we address this isue of people getting angry at bots and accusing steemit power users of using bots to get rich, or to flag users etc, would any of you admit to it if it was true? do we have a collective oligarchy here? Has east asia always been at war with Eurasia?

Anyway just wantd to ask you this because i am VERY scared about some posts i just saw by elfspice and lok1 who i stumbled upon by acident and i ran into a BUNCH of drama, and its scarey that we dont have some sort of democratic way to put everything out in the open and allow users to all vote 1 person one vote on non binding decisions, just to show the opinin of the people, liek when there is a disspute between two users, we let them both make their case, in a NEUTRAL post that WONT be falgd, and thir cases are both made, Steemit Court, and we have an ARBITRATOR and it HAS to be a NON steemit user OR someone who can PROVE their neutrality in the case. i swear we can do it

we should also have a council of dolphins to counter any abusive flagging by any whales if they come up, but moe importantly we ned that tribunal type setting to even figueout whats goihg on with any given conflict between any number of users.

I feel like everyone shiuld have a chance to beheard, and WITHOUT bgetting flagged peopel should be allowd to make thir case no mattr what it is, otherwise we are no better than reddit with thir archving of posts and banning and deleting of content, so lets get a middle ground a NEUTRAL ground, someon who WONT EVER take sides

I feel like I could help find this type of person, we need a Steemit Judge, someone who can really prove they are fair!

Anyway a Steemit Judiciary system would be VERY VERY VRY helpful for the public image of steemit, if we had checks and balances, maybe a steemit legislature, a steemit supreme court, and a steemit congress of witnesses, or we vote ion actual representatives for our geographic locations even!

We should find ways to mediate dispiutes hre without relying on the simple fact of one user always having more poer than the other! its rarely that users in a conlfiuct are tied evenly and so we see a lot of uneven fights, but imagin if we could STOP teh fiughts BEFOE they tart by having a COURTROOM where users could BOTH make thir case WITHOUT fear of flaging, and they will be able to hacve their cases presented equally, AND we will ven give them LAWYERS steemit LAW group. yes i can see it now!!!

no. that is not possible.

no. that is not possible either.

yeah I guess i thought about itmore, and i realized, 35 MG is just 35 MB, servers can handle plenty of terabytes and websites like youtube have plenty of data, and they back it up too, and our system is decentralized, and yeah i guess its silly to think a decentralized system could suffer from same sort of denial of service attack that systems like cloudflare exist to prevent, by having multiple backups, and steem has lotsof witness servers, and we would only need a few to serve everyone acessing steemit right? and steemit.com is hosted in multiple places and we have busy.org and yah i guess steem hasnt ever been offline except for hard fork updates right?

sorry i am just a beginner learning about this stuff and im actually grateful for the work develiopers have done for steem, im not complaianing!
