When you first start it is easier to check your new follower's blog and comment on their posts and of course upvote, even if you do not have much Steem Power. It does get more difficult to that when your number of followers grow...but I still try

Please check out the reply above from Scilwa...There is also a link to an excellent post for newcomers. I think most of us felt lost as we began.
Do a post, possible an introduction, even if it is short and I will resteem it for you to help get things started for you.
Check your wallet on how how to power up steem. I left you some instructions on powering up Steem so you have more steem power.
