At the moment we have the ability to flag - as a tool that could be used to fight with low-quality content. Does steemit theoretically allows introducing any new tool in future? You've been saying regarding Blocking. Is that smth that is not a steemit feature right now, but potentially could be implemented?
Maybe you could advise where I could get more info regarding how new steemit new features are born? I understand that on a high level it is probably related to witness voting, allocating some budget and implementing them. But maybe you could point me to the list of the proposals that are being under review at the moment?
This will help me better understand how STEEM and Steemit are going to develop in future. Thanks in advance.

Hi @alex.welcomes. As far as I know, I don't believe there's anything in the works for a blocking function. I'm not as up on the subject as I should be though. The next update is going to be HF 20, but I'm not privy to when. Here's something that might help get you started with your quest: https://steemit.com/steem/@aggroed/5-things-pointing-to-an-incredible-2018-for-steem
It's 2:15 AM and I'm headed to bed after spending the last 3 1/2 hours answering all the comments to this post . . . and tomorrow is a busy day at work. Let me know what you find out. Thanks!
Hey @cryptographic! I want to say big thank you for the time you're spending on your community. I've been following you since June 2017 on bitcoictalk , the thread were you had a public challenge to turn 10k into 1m. You're my authority #1 in crypto.
I've started to do my research on Steem, thanks for directing me. In HF20 they have nothing about blocking function, but I still have a lot to dig in the area how network improvement proposals get created and choosen for implementation. Gonna be sharing with you and your community my findings and gonna be asking a lot more questions going forward!
P.S. it is really valuable that my questions to you always get answers!
